thanks for that. I see panr also on the list.

Now we know why the big increase in volume over the last 3 weeks.
Many were hoping it Rex no doubt :(
Still it's in the numbers and we should take some comfort that they might not have offloaded at a profit.

West tex below the 10dma on the weekly. Hope it can close above.
XOP still higher so some support.

You have to consider the possibility that the stock was held via a special MSCI index vehicle and some may now have been bought by the various fund holders direct.

Equally, the BOD were doing the rounds in mid May and might have been successful in attracting interest: it is an opportunity to acquire in size, which better suits institutions (who generally pick up holdings through taking part in placings, where they can get a decent wedge without moving the market).

It does show how easily RH's remaining holding could be absorbed.

So back ti business .. 3 drill results from mid June to mid Aug, is what I am expecting .. anybody know when and which order?

4jun: OBA and prod updates
Jun18: cpo5 M1 LTT 15kbopd? 4.5k Indico-1 drill results & Sol1
if Indico is good that could add 1500-2000 on its own. Plus Nsands is a bigger one.
Jun18: Pintadillo-1 well, increase reserves & diversify prod - fields from 1 to 3.
Jul: Put-8: Miraparriba-1 drill results

Stop speculating on the uncrossing volume. As I posted earlier, it was due to funds adjusting for the changes to the MSCI indices, which took effect at close today. AMER was relegated from the MSCI Global Small Cap Index.

I don't have much time for charts, but whatever turns them on. I personally believe they are a self fulfilling prophecy so they do work some of the time, because they all use the same data.

If they are all using the same data, then they will if accurate arrive at a very very similar conclusion and if acting on it, of course it can be a success if loads of punters using charts expedite sales or purchases on it.

But who gives a damn what they use, if its different to you or me, then why does it matter. You have your opinion and you air it quite frequently and I wouldn't want to see you stop posting either, but some of the others were really long term contributors as far as I can make out.

The original unmoderated Amerisur bb was that for a reason, as if we had a bb where only one view was allowed it wouldn't be worth anyone reading it.

So quid, Marnewton, TDH and others who have stopped posting re charts etc. DON'T.

If we put up with the likes of serial rampers and shorter on occasions then we should be able to cope with those who have been long term Amer posters, just because they use charts to trade.

It’s a sale and a buy. Could be the end of a line of stock that has found a new home

Ok...those more experienced than myself...is the sale of 26 million shares @ 18.7p good news or bad ?...have they actually been bought or are they sitting on MM's books and will be dripped into the market....or is it good because a massive seller has now gone

High auction volume was almost certainly due to the MSCI index changes taking effect. Look at the volumes in some of the other stocks affected. IMI, COB, NMC, GAW....

Geraldo - exactly my thinking ;o) two legs up and at least three to go (and for good 'fundamental' reasons!).

I don't see 22p offering much resistance either.

No fundamentalist will be bashing this stock at the moment, which leads to the odd conclusion that you are a trader (to whom charting is most useful)who ignores the "tools of the trade" when doing rinse and repeat?

Pure sophistry: if you issue the apology, Martin can be found on the Kefi BB and it can be posted across.

I am a "dyed in the wool" fundamentalist, but even I can see the share price and volumes have weighed "the oil price, board decisions, production numbers, short sellers, disgruntled tax exiles and deadline disappointments" and is a useful predictive tool on a balance of probabilities.

TA won't get it right every time, but then nor do fundamentalists.
