Traders looking to exit , perfectly normal , but this time the drop will be very small , so costly to get back in later down the line , drilling news should give this a nice push up to 25p.

Thanks Geraldo. I agree with your post 9835 regard to the short term throughput of our own oil in relation to current reserves, but a couple of years ago there was much talk about blending our oil with that of other parties to maximise the use and theoretical capacity of the OBA pending the proving up of more AMER reserves. This aspiration seems to have disappeared and I don't quite understand why.

Don't understand why the medium-term target isn't 50000 BOPD (perhaps including third party oil)once they've debottlenecked. Can anyone explain?

50,000bopd is around 18mmbbls/year. Current reserves are 19mmbbls. So a bit more than debottling needed. To get to a sustainable 50,000bopd, imvh, they'd need to find at least another 150mmbbls. To be fair, they're targeting around 130mmbbls this year, but I think most here wouldn't complain too much if they actually delivered 50/60mmbbls from this year's planned explo campaign.

All the facts, figures, poo etc. etc. are screaming 'Buy, Buy' (or in my case top up, top up!) but I am still feeling very hesitant!

Oil over $80 again and pushing up,probably caused by the hawkish stance by US over Iran

Whilst I don't agree with the tone of mf's posts it surely is not in doubt that this has been a poor investment for most over the last 3 years. Hopefully the next three years will be better.

let me explain the mystery you pretentious blowhard. Long term holders have faith in the project and appreciate the timelines of prospecting in the jungle. While disagreeing with certain strategic issues, the goal has always been clear - 15 to 20k bpd of cheap production. We knew the drop in share price was, in part down to "politics" and used that opportunity to buy low. In many cases, the long term holders have been mopping up shares at 15p or lower so to be lectured by recently arrived ingenues about their investment ability is comical.

Some people are very good traders and it also depends on the market conditions and the individual share but I still prefer longer holds. I have seen traders happy to make a couple of grand on shares where longer term holders made 100's of thousands and perhaps even millions. Run your winners and cut your losers would perhaps be the most appopriate advice.

Some people had us as a bad bet at 16p last week but now we're a great bet at anything up to 30p !!!

Now, according to mad foetus, we should all just be day trading !!

So, is today when we should sell everything when everyone else is encouraging us to buy ????

Crazy, Crazy, people...................

Plenty of room for those MT targets to be reassessed Warre. Patience, it'll come...

o/t Anyone else cast an eye over ECHO? I very much like the look of the Exec team, the excellent PI engagement and their focused approach. Looks to me they've landed an absolute peach with many essential E&P boxes ticked. One to watch.
