The Average Directional Movement Index Rating (ADXR) chart study looks at the change in momentum of the Average Directional Index study (ADX). The ADX is within the Average Directional Index/Direction Movement Indicator (ADX/DMI) chart study, where the ADX is calculated as the difference between the two Direction Movement Indicators (DMIs).
The ADXR quantifies momentum change in the ADX. It is calculated by adding two values of ADX (the current value and a value n periods back), then dividing by two. This additional smoothing makes the ADXR slightly less responsive than ADX.
Parameters: Period & ADXR Period.

The interpretation is the same as the ADX in the ADX/DMI chart study; the higher the value, the stronger the trend.
