I guess if any of the 7.291m and 10.891m are being used for shorting purposes as seems quite likely then indeed they are being recalled. Offsets DBs sells if the hedges are buying back too.

Seems clear to me. DB in their current precarious position are selling everything that isn't nailed down. This includes stocks they have lent out to shorters.

in DB RNS of 7/10 they say they have right to recall 7.291m shares
in DB RNS of today, they say they have right to recall 10.891m shares

Ooops! Maybe I have it totally wrong and they are lending out more shares. Any clarification will be gratefully accepted...

Shorts steady at 14.11%- no one reported a change since 12th.

The latest 2 RNSs from DB are a bit confusing. It looks as if they are selling and calling in the stock they have loaned out. Does anybody else have a clearer idea?

Nah, that's why I'm here now, big oil has stopped exploring for oil over the last coule of years in the downturn, in a couple of years they're going to need reserves to fill up the cupboard and they can't be found just like that, they'll need to buy medium sized cos with decent reserves levels...
