08/11/2016 11:08 | All I warned of disposals and you laughed. Well your not laughing now. Just wait and see. More to follow. They are trying to offload slowly without driving thr share price to sub 10p | slipperysidewinder
08/11/2016 09:50 | Yep. Posting cafeteria chatter to max out your short doesn't seem very wise to me. | fil340
08/11/2016 09:22 | Look like SSW did in fact manage to wind plenty of people up on here yesterday with utter bs.... | howl01
08/11/2016 09:11 | There is negligible value in second-guessing the reasons why a particular director buys/sells. "He bought because we're at bottom! No he didn't, he bought to prop up the sinking ship!" Utter BS. Perhaps a little value can be found in patterns. We have for Nanoco x3 director purchases in October. I put more stock in the fact that Dow are busy. | fil340
08/11/2016 08:44 | keni re post6725, directors are only restricted during specific periods, ie run up to results | whum
08/11/2016 08:24 | Wonder where our resident Denethor is this morning? Has Mr Oz put him in time-out? | fil340
08/11/2016 08:22 | the USS is a private company it is not Manchester uni | roadster750
08/11/2016 08:10 | Keni I'm going by last years leap before xmas and expections of High DOW royalties, including conformation of WH revenues coming in fast. | syd777
08/11/2016 07:50 | Dow's factory alive with dots. ME states 11th Oct 2016: "We’re seeing – we’ve had two quarters of royalty payments from Dow. Third quarter will be due in mid-November and we’ve been seeing those increase, which is very, very positive." Dow gearing up for mass-production. The train is coming... tickets please... | fil340
08/11/2016 07:41 | Except for the market restrictions re insider trading ;-) ---- Syd, why 23rd? Your expectation of CES announcements? | kenirogas
08/11/2016 07:37 | syd I would like to concur with your outlook, however given the directors intimate inside knowledge, if success is just around the corner, they would all be filling their boots, including ME, not just a token gesture as were the recent director purchases. | whum
08/11/2016 07:25 | Bagpuss Hendersons are keeping faith along with directors buying earlier at 53-54.just under two weeks left before newsflow comes in and all the doom mongers will disappear again. | syd777
08/11/2016 07:16 | Royalties from Dow rising. Can only mean one thing. | fil340
08/11/2016 07:12 | It's not just USS it's bailee Gifford as well. And since I have had a position in this share there have been two major disposals by the CEO too. I wonder what. Mr Griffiths is thinking as his profit on his repurchase evaporates. | bagpuss67
07/11/2016 23:21 | NoVember 23!! Remember the date.;) | syd777
07/11/2016 22:59 | Agree with that last sentiment whum, though it was 2 weeks ago they crossed the 4%. Not clear to me whether they did that in one go from 4.9, or a cumulative sell off from the 76p high...they have been good at reading the share price movement in the past. | kenirogas
07/11/2016 22:59 | Whum - could be automatic, or risk reduction, or fear, or insider knowledge. Might even be a reaction to SSW's leak earlier today for all I know. | fil340
07/11/2016 22:46 | fil, it does beg the question why major long term investors would wish to reduce rather than increase their holdings at this point in time. | whum
07/11/2016 22:28 | If one looks at the 2015 annual report you'll note the big news was the commissioning of Dow's facility in Cheonan. It was stated that sampling would begin 2nd half FY 2016. As happened. Turning to the annual report of 2016 we have statements that revenue is about to come online + Wah Hong and Merck as new routes to market. If one carefully places paranoia (Slip - that means you) to one side, it is evident that the plan is chugging along nicely, teeth meshing perfectly with the market. Samsung want 20m TV's with CFQD's. LG want dots. Where are these dots coming from? It's no secret, it's all right there in the annual reports. | fil340
07/11/2016 21:44 | being a long term holder here I find the reduction in the uni's holding interesting to say the least, or if I am honest concerning. I said this morning it had the hallmark of a large disposal day given the share price movement and increased early volume. off all the investors it would be reasonable to assume that the uni would be in a better position than anyone to determine the worth of the enterprise. | whum
07/11/2016 20:05 | tdots: small note but ME is paid salary, bonuses, in USD. Hopefully he'll prove he's worth it in the days to come. | fil340
07/11/2016 19:50 | balaura, Thank you for that revelation (at least to me). Any other 'tit-bits' you would care to share - given that you appear to be a shareholder (or close follower), or ... er .. are related to the CEO's. ;0) Best wishes - and welcome further input! - Mike | spike_1
07/11/2016 19:35 | Howl01 where did you find that 400k figure? I can't find it either. | fil340
07/11/2016 19:17 | I don't see £400,000 in royalties in the annual report. What I see on page 74 under "4. Segmental information" is £156,000 for the combined "Royalties and Licenses" entry. So royalties alone is less than £156K when you subtract out the license fees. But the good news for ME was that since Dow made their first royalty payment, ME was awarded £40,000 as part of his annual bonus based on meeting his 4 personal goals which got him a total bonus of 40% (£160,000) of his annual base salary of £400,744. I'm assuming that he got 10% for each of the 4 goals, so £40,000 for the first royalty payment (see page 42 of annual report). So ME maybe got all of the first modest royalty payment and maybe part of the second? Not much left over for shareholders. | tdots
07/11/2016 17:26 | Mr OZ: nothing like made-up insider information to set a board alight! | fil340 |
