16/11/2016 18:30 | Kuss1 QD's only taken 15 months....?errrrr, don't think so, I've been in for 5 years, many for longer....... | wynterwilde
16/11/2016 17:35 | Qdots will dominate display for the near future. That's pretty certain. It's an early stage technology accelerating quickly. For the display industry the acceleration is actually awesome. OLED taken 15 years, QDs 15 months. QD vision dead and bought for 70 million. How does that value Nano's IP? The share price is recovering. It will start to motor soon enough. Price and value come together far quicker than many realise. And Nano so tiny for such a revolution... | kuss1
16/11/2016 15:56 | Nice to see some upbeat news on QDs,according to this report it seems better then OLED.. dot technology is now fueling a range of LCD displays, offering a WCG that can be larger than that offered by OLED displays and other LCD technologies. When coupled with HDR, quantum dot displays offer some of the best picture performance on the market. | syd777
16/11/2016 10:34 | we are being exploited because of uncertainty. These games will be over soon as the true position is revealed in trading P&L. In the meantime we are vulnerable to derampers. | tonsil
16/11/2016 10:21 | looks like nano has got more than it's fair share of A-level students then.Still.. it works to our advantage as well, so can't get too bothered... just have to keep your wits about you, and do your homework.Would just be nice, now and again, to bank some kind of decent profit, but surely that is just around the corner? | jfacwc
16/11/2016 10:13 | Institutional shorting is a bit easier than you think. Sell an absolute shedload of shares onto the market to reduce the price 40%, stack up a huge amount of buys and sells either side of the new position to make the fundamentals look like no price change is possible, exit slowly over time from the natural attrition of sellers. Throw in a few negative PR articles, derampers on the BB and risk/uncertainty, a bunch of A-level students with a large enough budget and the right connections could do it. | luxaeterna1
15/11/2016 18:54 | Ah, OK. Cheers | mr.oz
15/11/2016 18:19 | Sorry. mr.Oz, that quote was Jeff Yurek (nanosys) if I read it correctly...in response to ME's claim that Nanosys are struggling.. The author seems quite upbeat about Merck, but still sees a waiting game until they start to build a factory. Also wasn't sure about MEs "in th future" without the word "Near" involved, ...or perhaps he's learned not to be too glib with that phrase any more? | kenirogas
15/11/2016 17:56 | Today, our materials and technology are in use in over 30 devices on the market – a claim no other company can make I hope to see that substantiatedhttp ://www.displaydaily. | mr.oz
15/11/2016 14:38 | How the institutional shorters work is anyone's guess, but for Nanoco I'd suppose that they're just long-term technology bets: ie OLED vs CFQD. Smaller shorters seem to try and get outlandish movements on small volume. To achieve this they just distort the truth. Hell, there was a "leak" that was promptly removed by Mr Oz here a little while back. We've already seen several predictions fail to materialise, more to fall in the dustbin in a fortnight or so. | fil340
15/11/2016 14:05 | Could anyone please answer a simple question for me? Why is it that certain shares seem to attract more than their fair share of shorters whilst others seem to remain quite untroubled by their antics? It is shares that are most likely to bounce back up again and are therefore basically quite healthy. | woolybanana
15/11/2016 12:54 | There should be some good RNS regarding revenue coming up over the next 2 weeks leading to the AGM.DOW royalties and maybe licence fee from Merck, might even see some from WH and Runcorn,or a deal with Horticulture. | syd777
15/11/2016 12:22 | jfacwc: the "zag" down to <45p is a far more interesting question. It was sparked by shorting and a bunch of BS. So this "zig" to 50p is more of a correction of market confidence IMHO. And it has a long way to go yet. As for "QD novelty" HDR - which is enabled by QD - is only just getting started. Traction, real traction, begins 2017. | fil340
15/11/2016 12:17 | Onething, what caused this first Zig then? Anything special? Does it not show that this 'nothing special' effect bodes well for when something actually does happen? Maybe getting overenthusiastic... but have had enough of 'bobbing along'. Also the QD novelty aspect may well fade in the process. (the Sony TV Rep in John Lewis yesterday, certainly thought it was already 'old hat'!). | jfacwc
15/11/2016 11:06 | Unless we get a sustained close over the 50p resistance level we may settle back into the 6 month Feb to July trading range 40p/50p approx as we wait for some verifiable news. This week's bounce off 42p looks very promising on the chart but momentum seems to have dropped. This time next week it could look like the first zig of a zigzag range. | onething
15/11/2016 08:16 | What are the implications of Nanoco setting up a stand for display at CES? "Also at CES 2017, Nanoco will be showcasing its CFQD® quantum dot technology for display. Quantum dot films enable liquid crystal displays (LCD) to deliver a technically superior image with a much higher range of colors than is currently possible from other commercially available LCD technologies. Nanoco’s CFQD® technology, free of cadmium and other heavy metals delivers what consumers want – LCD displays that offer bright, colorful, energy efficient performance without any safety tradeoffs." | fil340
15/11/2016 07:51 | hopefully we can forget ssw for a while..Next big target for me is to see that Short of JP Morgan (13/10) start to lose money... Fed up of these big institutions dictating. | jfacwc
15/11/2016 00:04 | Getting a bit boring this constant string of awards from the industry high and mighty. All those top scientists opting for little Nano out of Manchester. Nano's IP easily worth £2 a share. You only have to read one of their patents to see that. QD Vision bought for 70 million. No future, no cash, only cadmium tech. Samsung closing in. They know the industry and where it's going. Nano as ME has said will define the industry going forward. Dow capex 70-100 million US. Was Hong spending millions. Merck same as Dow. When the market gets a sniff of this Nano's share price will move and the likes of slip and his 9 short positions and his noble art of lying and frightening people will be seen for what it is. And sadly for what he is.... | kuss1
14/11/2016 21:50 | Keni luck has nothing to do with it 1.20 by Xmas and 1.80 by CES17,the rally will continue since the Trump win ;) | syd777
14/11/2016 21:46 | "...in association with..", if we're lucky :-) | kenirogas
14/11/2016 20:20 | Well they're not an exhibitor kuss (unlike nanosys) so likewise I'm a bit confused as to how they plan on showcasing their qdef..... | howl01
14/11/2016 18:04 | Yes bagpuss, Awards for growlight film, but more enticing showing off cad free film for display at CES. What does that mean? Will it have a brand attached .... ?? CES is going to be interesting... And that 70 million if true for a defunct company than can only do cadmium shows you the value of Nano's IP. The Dow/Merck/Wah Hong and Runcorn all in the price for nothing.... | kuss1
14/11/2016 16:53 | Nice Nano PR emerging re CES2017 | bagpuss67
14/11/2016 15:43 | 1000 AT Buy Bot operating now? | mr.oz |
