A National Living Wage, starting at £7.20 and rising to £9 an hour by 2020, replaces the £6.50 minimum wage.

Thats going to be very problematic for howden which pays its workers peanuts

How many staff does it have should be a straight 10% added on the wage cost next year , rising to 30% straight cost by 2020

az4hr,
It's all in free fall. On days like these I consider buying. Certainly I do not worry about my strong companies falling with the index. Go fishing or something.

The psychology of investing is probably the hardest bit for a PI...takes time.

az4hr sounds like you may have bought too much. You could reduce, look at that long term chart above, and so long as the graph goes from around the lower left corner to around the upper right corner without unusual behaviour that is a sign of a bubble or a change of trend, enjoy, in my opinion.

Who knows - the DIY sector seems strong and so is the professional home improvement sector - combined they are great news for HWDN over the coming year.

You might get a clue to trading in the sector this week when TPT put out their trading update on Weds.

All imo.

I was expecting a dividend on 19 June.
Have you guys had it yet?

(I'm with Beaufort and they're often a few days behind)

The directors propose a final dividend in respect of the 52 weeks to 27 December 2014 of 6.5p per share, payable to ordinary
shareholders who are on the register of shareholders at 22 May 2015, and payable on 19 June 2015.

Anybody got a view on the highest share price at which HWDN is likely to be prepared to perform share buybacks? Unlike with NXT, I do not recall seeing any guidance on this.
