dlku, every Howdens depot telemarkets their own customer base. I've bought 10+ kitchens in the last 5 years from the company because of my business and I used to get a marketing call every 6 weeks or so to try and flog me another kitchen. A bit irritating as a customer as they are constantly chasing new business but as a shareholder I love the fact that they are always on on the front foot being pro-active.
The competition, whether Benchmark (Travis), Wickes, Magnet, etc for builders £'s aren't even close to HWDN in the quality of their marketing & sales support.
Don't take a phone call as any sign of desperation. Its how they grow their business.

Forgot, on the 9th April Andy Witts (COO) sold 17% of his shares for the sum of £870k.When the Deputy CE/CFO sells 25% of his (& his wife's) shares and the Finance Director sells 43% of her shares two weeks before a trading update, as you say it doesn't inspire confidence.Perhaps just paying off some outstanding tax bill?, wtfdik.DD

Directors have to sell at some point - we're all dead eventually.

Good directors sell ahead of good news imo - and the board here is good imo.

Director sell today - but all directors sell some shares at some point. Only a small percentage of the directors holding and only one director.

Can't expect all the directors to sell all their shares right at the top imo.

I'm cool with that.
