14/3/2002 16:26 | Any one heard how well x-box has done today, has it sold out yet. | fevs
13/3/2002 13:07 | X-Box. Only one day to go. Should be a sharp upturn to a steady 150/160, if the X-Box shows signs of success in time to be taken account of in the final results. | caseyjc
07/3/2002 16:19 | X-BOX 1 week to go. | fevs
06/3/2002 00:28 | There was an interesting tip on the BBC (I think) a few weeks ago for Electronics Boutique. I was wondering if anyone knew when their AGM was going to be? | kaustav

01/3/2002 22:02 | Another record closing high today after a few weeks of meandering... If we don't get 150p+ in March then I'll finally lose my patience and move on to the next recovery stock.... | pinsticker
01/3/2002 18:06 | Do you think i can say "Total Break out!" now? | bowser
01/3/2002 15:32 | forward p/e is down to 23 on projected earnings which is not that demanding , given the new product pipeline and predicted sales. I agree with a steady increase to 175 in autumn. | pjw956
01/3/2002 08:51 | slow and steady, easy 150+ by march end then on to 180 by sept IMHO. | sasimini
28/2/2002 22:21 | Would the PE improve if the next gen console games are a success?? If it does tons of people will pile in and increase the price accordingly. | bowser
28/2/2002 22:16 | I would say 160+, but the PE scares me a little... | bowser
28/2/2002 17:18 | Just been on the EBQ web site, there are about 70 x-box titles available to pre order right up until september, should keep most people happy up to xmas. Ebq price prediction by end of march is 150p+. anyone else with a prediction??? FEVS | fevs
28/2/2002 16:20 | fevs if only we knew so much will depend upon xbox sales and games etc , easter is early this year (late march) so forget that chocolate egg and buy a computer game instead.. treat the wife to a new games console ( or give her the old one and treat yourself...... | pjw956
27/2/2002 15:31 | Not long now until the x-box is released over here. How many of these consoles are EBQ likely to have in stock on release day, as an article in computer active mag says that most US stores sold out of stock on the first day. This must then create an even greater demand for the console. Anyone with any thoughts on what the price will be Mid/end March??, as the price has stayed pretty constant during FEB FEVS | fevs
26/2/2002 10:20 | any new products that continue to add to the overall market will be positive for EBQ. each on their own are small beer but together they add up. XBOX, game cube, PS2 etc etc | pjw956
25/2/2002 16:49 | Has anybody any views on what impact the proposed introduction of the platinum range at £19.99 on PS2 will have to EBQ. I would have thought it would help encourage more buyers of the PS2 with the availability of better value games (they will apparently include GT3 and taxi driver) where they currently thought the system was a good price but £40 a game was a bit steep. Also it would allow some good starter packs to be sold by EBQ, both then opening up the games market to a larger number of users who would in turn still buy the more expensive games. | coldjay
17/2/2002 11:32 | Xbox in the Mail on Sunday today. | bowser
13/2/2002 18:14 | The game cube is apparently aimed at the kids, and in my opinion Nintendo concentrates on the Japanese markets more than the western ones when it comes to consoles (brand loyalty blah blah). There are going to be few big games like Luigies Mansion, Biohazard and of course Mario. Game cube is for serious gamers but with its game types skewed towards the innocent and cute instead of the mature. Game cube obvious advantage is its price (£100 less than Xbox)and it does this by omitting DVD capability and by making the architecture leaner than Xbox. But hey, who cares?? EB will supply all the console types anyway!!. BRING ON PS3........ | bowser
13/2/2002 10:34 | I've just been looking at the info on the EB web site about the Game Cube and it states that it doesn't play DVD's or CD's ( X-box plays dvd's, not sure about cd's). I would of thought that most families who where looking at buying a new console would go for the dvd/cd option as their first choice of console, unless they have already bought the ps2. Is the game cube going to be for serious gamers???. please post your thoughts FEVS | fevs
10/2/2002 00:38 | Just been reading Edge magazine, theres 3 pages on EBQ. It talks about the relationship between retailers (esp EBQ) and publishers. Saying that retailers have publishers over a barrel. EBQ apparently charges £10,000 to publishers just to put their game in the catalogue, and many smaller publishers simply cant afford it and can actually end up making a loss at the outset. Hmm, i'm putting money in EBQ and EID then. EID is a bargin right now and is big enough to collaborate with EBQ better than the smaller publishers not even to mention the likes of Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and maybe Sega. Hmmm, I see a sort of oligopoly forming in the computer games industry. | bowser
10/2/2002 00:17 | If I remember correctly I read on one of the games sites that full price Xbox titles were likely to be £45. Amazon pre-orders are pegged at £42.99. | trumpet |
