19/6/2015 14:07 | Just closed at 4833. Might have another look after Uncle Sam opens, but then again, it's Friday, so why bother? Been a really good week. All profits banked, and trading account balance intact. | penycae
19/6/2015 12:12 | Good day Penycae In the current market a 'Greek' rumour is sufficient to spike the market one way or the other. I suspect that there is underhand trading occurring. That being the situation banking a reasonable profit is the order for the current conditions. | bracke
19/6/2015 10:37 | Short CAC from 4862. Got stop at 4882. No limit. Don't forget OPEX effect, so no advice intended. Technical weakness in the trade is the 8.30 doji. Trade well and prosper..... | penycae
19/6/2015 09:23 | Morning all. bracke - could have been a case of Krug if I'd held on a bit longer, but the trade was a larjwun, so I didn't want to take the risk of losing out. Banked the profit yesterday. That means that I still have to be sensible with stops. Been doing that a lot lately, rather than trying to build up capital in the account. Might spend the day on the darkside of the CAC. I think they'll want to sell into the weekend pending some news on Greece. Trade well and prosper.... | penycae
18/6/2015 16:46 | So that will be a pair of Jimmy Choos for Mrs P, new waistcoat for monkey, a packet of Chewys for the hound and a Croque-monsieur & Flute of Krug at the walk stop off. | bracke
18/6/2015 14:47 | That'll do..... | penycae
18/6/2015 14:43 | They have to kick the can down the road. They can't afford to let Greece fail. It would be like... er... like Scotland breaking off the UK! | prambigear
18/6/2015 14:40 | Set very wide stops on the CAC, and just done the same with a smaller DAX long from 10936. Uncle Sam trying to show Europe there's life without Greece. I suspect they'll find some temporary solution. They really can't afford not to. | penycae
18/6/2015 14:08 | "The greeks shall inherit the earth" "what did he say, I can't hear Him?" "He said the Greeks, they'll inherit the earth" "why them? what have they ever done?" | prambigear
18/6/2015 14:07 | It's hovering around the green line. US opens in 25 minutes probably with its usual spike. | bracke
18/6/2015 14:02 | Uncle Sam did his bit. Just the Greeks holding things back now.... | penycae
18/6/2015 13:14 | Good day Penycae Here's a pretty picture for you if price holds above the green line. The 'wash' candle to the downside suggests you maybe in the money.. There is a lot of data from the US in 15 minutes so be careful. CAC 40. 1 HOUR | bracke
18/6/2015 12:22 | On the ball with that thumbs down. Four seems to be the record. I'd rather like to go for the title, so put some effort into it! Just took a long on the CAC. Quite a larjwun, so need to keep focused. | penycae
18/6/2015 11:58 | Morning all. Cable and DAX. | penycae
16/6/2015 11:55 | #85958 I doubt it. There's a lot more road to kick that can down. | prambigear
16/6/2015 11:55 | It looks like the next stage in the process is close. The following from www.nola.com:- "A routine filing in federal court Wednesday (June 10) hints a New Orleans judge could be close to a ruling on how much BP will pay in fines for its role in the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill. U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier and Magistrate Judge Sally Shushan, who are overseeing the complex oil spill litigation, were scheduled to talk with lawyers June 18 for a regular status conference on the ongoing cases. In a two-sentence order, Barbier canceled the meeting and asked it be rescheduled following a ruling on BP's oil spill penalty, suggesting he is close to a decision. BP faces up to $13.7 billion in fines under the Clean Water Act for its role in the spill. The Clean Water Act is the primary federal law governing water pollution. The penalty phase of the civil trial over the spill ended in early February. BP argued it deserved a lower penalty because of its efforts to clean up the oil spill and the more than $40 billion in spill liabilities it already faces. Federal prosecutors want BP to pay the top fine. Barbier could make a ruling on the penalty at any time. Whatever the ruling, it is likely BP will challenge it in court as it has previous decisions. It could be up to several years before the company begins to pay Clean Water Act fines related to the spill." | prambigear
16/6/2015 08:53 | Greece sneezes and the world catches a cold! | hellscream
13/6/2015 10:35 | Morning all. Missed out in the Honours List as well as the Euromillions. :0( Ah well, there's always next week...... Trade well and prosper. | penycae
12/6/2015 16:53 | Hope it stays this cheap when dividend gets paid :) | hellscream
10/6/2015 15:53 | Penycae I should have realised you were unable to thumb down me. My appreciation to whoever did. Every little helps. Thank you for the up thumb. | bracke
10/6/2015 15:34 | bracke - much as I would have liked to contribute, the "thumbs down" was not from me. Only blue names can vote posts down, which makes it hard to guess who the chuckle brothers might be. I can vote posts up, however, so have one on me! | penycae
10/6/2015 15:27 | Thank you Penycae your thumbs down is much appreciated. Quite a few 'red' days on the indices over the past two weeks so due a 'green' day and of course the probability of a Greek Fudge has arisen.....once again. As and when the 'Fudge' is announced one can imagine what the result will be. | bracke
10/6/2015 12:21 | Morning all. There you go bracke, you've got three now. The Chuckle Brothers must have recruited a new follower. Either that, or we really are starting to annoy people. Europe is perky this morning. Must be some news about to break. I took a DAX long this morning which has paid this week's rent. Broke even on a CAC long from a few days ago, so flat now. Trade well and prosper..... | penycae |
