Quite a few were killed in Piper Alpha. This is a tax on UK. Oil seeps through the seabed constantly. Crude oils is 100% natural product.

Exactly Holts, Bhopal was the worlds worst industrial disaster with over half a million injured. But they weren't American and it was caused by an American company so all conveniently forgotten. This is a disproportionate fine which can only be summed up as greed.

$18bn over 18 years, paid by BP's US operations.
Doesn't this mean BP US corporation tax will take the hit, as it will wipe-out any US profit??
or must fines be paid after profits are declared??

Now remind me how much did Union Carbide pay for killing thousands and poisoning the area such that many more died later ? oh yes , 470 million dollars .

opto - she's happy as long as I buy the gin! She gets the tonic from our local Tesco, normally on a two for one offer.
You would have had a good entry here on your 420. I've just got out of my gold long. Made me sweat a bit, and actually doubled up just before the NFP release. The double up got me a profit. I let it run a bit longer, then closed the original trade as soon as it went into the black. Didn't expect that from boring old gold.
Just got some long CAC positions running now. Hope Uncle Sam buys the market up before the close.

Morning all.
56 points this morning ,largely taken from the dark side. NFP today, so be careful after twelve noon.
Only trade running at the moment is a gold long, which I haven't done for some considerable time. Called the chart up last night while I was having a G&T with the monkey.

Not taking the trade myself. If you're a dip buyer, this could be a good entry if the move doesn't come off in the next fifteen minutes.

DOW looking to do a gap close? 30 day providing some support. Remember, the Shermans are closed on Friday. They'll all want to be out of risk before tomorrow's close.
I had some buy orders set on the CAC and Eurostocks, but I've cancelled them for now.

I think you'll have to lose another 7p here, then you should get back far more than your 20p.
Really frustrating when you hold shares. I don't have the patience any more. Just looked at ARM. There's good money to be made there, but it'll take time.

Walked the dog, two flutes of Krug with a bacon sarnie. Got back, 164 points bagged.
