09/6/2015 10:19 | kidgallp gets a thumbs down for selling...I'm going to buy now, will I get a thumbs up? | optomistic
09/6/2015 10:06 | Sold my stake in BP. and put it into NG. So expect one to take off, the other to fall. I'll leave you to guess which! | kilgallp
08/6/2015 15:04 | You should expect a left wing president to 'advise' us to stay in a left wing EU, but wtf should a right of centre prime minister take advice from them? | prambigear
05/6/2015 13:34 | Big rise on the dollar. DOW falling off, but Europe seems to like it. Pick the bones out of that. I love Fridays..... | penycae
05/6/2015 13:31 | Good day Penycae Jack the Lad when it went right and Penycae the Penniless if it didn't!! | bracke
05/6/2015 13:28 | Markets want up. Hope Uncle Sam doesn't disappoint. Just found some sweets left around Penycae Towers. Haribo - they're really awful. Problem is, I finished the packet. Don't know why kids rave about them. Back to the screen, data in two minutes, cable like a coiled spring..... | penycae
05/6/2015 12:45 | Having said that, I used to buy these in batches of 10,000 when I traded CFD's with e.Trade. That was the equivalent of £100 a point. I remember taking profits of £150 a time when the share price moved one or two places, and really thought I was Jack the lad. Just wish I had today's knowledge and yesterday's money. Good book title there? | penycae
05/6/2015 12:41 | 8 point swing here. Not bad if you're one of the big hitters from the FX thread on £100 a point. | penycae
05/6/2015 12:27 | Thanks a lot Bracke, I did wonder where that came from! LOL | optomistic
05/6/2015 12:21 | Good day optomistic I tried to give your last post a thumbs down just for the hell of it but I'm not allowed to, so I gave you a thumbs up instead which I am allowed to do. | bracke
05/6/2015 11:45 | Bought at 439.29 in another portfolio | smurfy2001
05/6/2015 10:06 | Good to see I haven't been left out...TWO thumbs down for me as well :-))) | optomistic
05/6/2015 09:58 | Morning opto! Got some banking to see to this morning, so the hound will have to wait a bit for his walk. Tried to sort things out yesterday, but found that B*rclays actually close on a Thursday in the Town where we live. Don't know how long that's been going on, but times must be hard. Not looked at BP, but holding CAC and cable longs. Tried to see if the "thumbs down" were personal this morning, but it seems as if the Chuckle Brothers have a down on everybody on the thread. Reminds me a bit of the old guys who used to appear on the muppets. Lovely day here in the Principality. Looking to bank a few points, then close down for the weekend. | penycae
05/6/2015 09:40 | Morning Peny, nice morning for a stroll in the hills today. Must keep trying to train that hound! Is the monkey in action today...does he have anything positive to say about BP? | optomistic
05/6/2015 09:35 | Still getting thumbs down - at least it's not personal! | penycae
05/6/2015 09:06 | Trying times. | awful knawful
04/6/2015 16:49 | I second Opto! | ladywormer
04/6/2015 15:18 | Afternoon all. opto - good to see you're still around. A lot of the old posters seem to have drifted away. I've had a good day today. Banked 104 points from Cable, CAC and the DOW. Not going to do anything else, as the odds say the Bookies will start getting it back. Just bought the monkey a bag of nuts, so Mrs P and I will spend an hour in the garden. Got some lemon drizzle cake on offer. Beats digging coal. Trade well and prosper..... | penycae
04/6/2015 12:53 | Good day optomistic Nice to read from you. There isn't much to miss. | bracke
04/6/2015 12:46 | Peny, do make sure the hound hasn't a spy cam on his collar ;-) ps post as many times as you wish, I like your posts and your humour. Good day to you as well Bracke. I don't post very much at the moment but then I don't miss much either ... | optomistic
04/6/2015 12:38 | Good day Penycae BP doesn't look too bright. The US situation and low oil price continue to blight it. All well with me and trading is tolerable. The new hound sounds like a fitness freak and a regular spoil sport. Hope he has no way of communicating with Mrs P he would probably drop you in it. Good luck with the swimming. | bracke
04/6/2015 12:21 | Morning bracke - I was thinking of running the monkey's good eye over BP. Fall this morning was quite heavy. Reluctant to get involved with equities at the moment. Much quicker pace on Forex and the indicies. Showing 50 points up this morning (40 bagged). You'd have to wait a year to do that with BP. Trust all is well with you. I don't post as much these days, probably to the relief of many. Got a lot on at the moment elsewhere. Don't particularly want to be doing it, but got no choice as Mrs.P is cutting up rough. The new hound is also far more energetic than the old Labrador. He won't even stop at the breakfast bar, which is a great disappointment, as they are now stocking Moet as well as Krug. I have to sneak off without him some mornings. I tell Mrs. P I'm going swimming. | penycae
04/6/2015 12:00 | The share price is at the Daily SMA 200. Will it support? If 'no' it is likely to test the low of the last swing high ie 414. | bracke |
