tttie,

In what way do you perceive this to be a risky business? I see it as the opposite. Asset backed finance with an asset that can relatively easily relocated. A portfolio of aircraft across several customers. Fixed income stream. Operational risk down to the airlines. In fact I see very little risk overall.

Russman - Doomed..we are all doomed.... the Scottish guy from Dad's Army!!!!

Agree with you that this is a risky business and corporate governance is questionable. However, it is also seems cheap and is set for strong near-term growth.

There isn't a company without downside risks. Look at British American Tobacco which has been a fantastic long-term performer but is exposed to smoking related risks.

The last bond issue cash is long gone.It has been used as quasi equity capital.

CS. AVAP are inconsistent with the information given in these routine aircraft deliveries. Only a minor quibble though.. and am grateful the monthly RNS fleet status announcements have now been canned.

The prior aircraft delivery was definitely funded, at least in part, by senior debt so I would expect this to be the norm.

About time AVAP made further announcements regarding new contracts for Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft as things appear to have been becalmed in that area; at least those of us watching on.

wrt Russman, I put this disturbed person on filter along with many other posters. Little to be gained by engaging with him/her

Russman the bond issue is not secured on individual planes and does not amortize hence the higher interest which gives a bit of flexibility, nice to see another a321 delivered, hopefully that deals with a good chunk of that expensive debt being used rather than sat earning zero

Usually the secured debt attached to an aircraft has the same terms as the head lease,

In CLA there were various types of debt attached to each aircraft.
The terms were different, diff interest rates, diff repayment schedules.
Does AVAP just have the Bond & then one secured debt attached to each aircraft.

If you mean the $100m MTN, they are Notes due in 2020. So no capital repayment until they redeem. I believe AVAP have bought some back at 90c, only a $1m or so though?

Vietjet's next A321 due for delivery this month had its first flight yesterday at Airbus Hamburg.
