30/11/2018 09:09 | OMG I'm showing my age. If your trade is with IG, then you don't have any shares, you have a bet on the share price of NMCN. IG may or may not have hedged, so they may own some shares. I see the price has nudged up again today. Probably on this which is a few days old: I am building a new thread under the new ticker btw. Working on it slowly. I'm pretty busy right now. I hope to have it finished soon. My html is lousy. | cc2014
29/11/2018 16:43 | Haha was expecting you to be pulling your dividend slips still. Although I only have actual shares do I not? Slightly confused | moneygenxyz
29/11/2018 16:27 | Lol - physical shares meaning actual shares. I'll have to stop using that phrase. | cc2014
29/11/2018 16:15 | Interesting insight! Thanks CC. Out of interest how do you purchase physical shares? | moneygenxyz
29/11/2018 15:32 | I only own physical shares but I can see why IG restrict trading. Their issue is that if the stock moves against traders positions, they run into cascading stops. This has become a much bigger problem for them since the introduction of negative balance protection. So, until someone else closes a position, IG won't let you open one. You could try City Index but after them you move into the area of the bucket shops who will screw you over at the first opportunity. | cc2014
29/11/2018 15:11 | So IG have pulled online trading on this due to lack of liquidity. Slightly frustrating as their call in commissions are extortionate. What platform does everyone else use? | moneygenxyz
27/11/2018 07:21 | That’s a great article thanks. | qs99
27/11/2018 07:16 | I really need to buy more of these... | dround87
26/11/2018 11:42 | And here - £700m project pipeline North Midland rebrand marks growth push Aaron Morby4 hours ago Share North Midland Construction and its subsidiary Nomenca are being rebranded as nmcn as a national recruitment drive gets underway. John Homer, chief executive of nmcn, has launched the group into expansion The expanding business has a growing £700m project pipeline, after securing a series of major built environment and water industry contracts during 2018. It is now starting the hunt to find talented people to join its 1800-strong team across 12 UK offices, off-site build and fabrication facilities. Head office expansion plans are also underway. John Homer, chief executive of nmcn since 2016, said: “We are in a robust industry position and the launch of the nmcn brand signals the start of a new growth era for us.” “Revenues have continued to rise, our cash position remains solid and a series of major contract wins are feeding our growing pipeline of work for the next five years and beyond. “We are therefore looking to extend our team with an intensive recruitment campaign running over the coming months.” Revenues have surged 76% during the last five years for the £340m turnover company. Recent major contract wins include the £55m Bellozanne Treatment Works in Jersey, the multi-million Highways England’s Regional Delivery Partnership and South West Water Civil Engineering K7 Capital Works and MEICA frameworks. Now working with 10 of the biggest water providers, Homer said several large-scale infrastructure contracts wins were instrumental in nmcn’s progression to becoming the largest multi-disciplined contractor in the water sector. | cc2014

15/11/2018 19:31 | Solid buys in at the end though. | dround87
15/11/2018 12:49 | Yeah terrible day. Big red screen unfortunately... | dround87
15/11/2018 11:00 | Thought it was coming. Flat for too long. Oh well. We hit new highs on the latest spike. Let's see where we get this time. Not particularly concerned. | dround87
15/11/2018 10:24 | Bit of a shake maybe. | battlebus2
15/11/2018 10:18 | just tried dummy sale and being offered £5.12 for £5k so looks like IMO they still want the stock no? DYOR, odd moves tho given all the positivity from the share recently IMO | qs99
13/11/2018 13:31 | It's been a strange few weeks all round for price action! Things are getting more volitile in the big markets. Great to have a local stock bucking the trend and performing well. | dround87
13/11/2018 12:33 | Strange price action. The buys keep coming yet the actual price paid is falling. I guess the MM have got a bit of stock from somewhere or know where they can source it. Doesn't really bother me. The buys keep coming and wherever the stock is coming from it won't go on very long given the share register. | cc2014
12/11/2018 21:24 | Fairly large buys in though. No selling. Good start! | dround87
12/11/2018 07:09 | Monday is here dround, let's see if NMD can keep going! Budget IMO has provided great runway of infrastructure projects and continued building programmes, more so than for a very long time so IMO the long-term spending by UK Govt is a good macro backdrop for the likes of NMD...DYOR | qs99
09/11/2018 19:06 | Wobble and hold! Great! Fun and games in the US again damaging my portfolio but this just keeps powering through. Can't wait for Monday! | dround87
08/11/2018 15:08 | looks like an afternoon step up again..... | qs99
08/11/2018 12:47 | 550 being holding for 4 hours now. It looks to me like someone has started taking notice on the back of the orders for South West Water and the Highways Agency. If they get the one for Severn Trent which I'm sure they will that will give it another kick. | cc2014
08/11/2018 12:23 | blimey over 6,000 shares traded is unusual for NMD! | qs99 |
