anyone seen any mentions in any of the usual tip sheets since AGM?

Agreed CC, but only 4k traded yesterday so teeny volumes....just shows what a decent RNS may do to it! Likewise if someone were to bid, they would need a knock out blow up front as any speculative buying would send it bonkers as zero stock around. all IMO and DYOR

I'm pretty happy now. The share price has returned to a price I find to be, how can I put this "unreasonable low" but at least responding appropriately to the ebb and flow of the market.

Someone is buying the dips and it's no longer falling on bad days on FTSE.

In fact the buying yesterday on the worst day on FTSE in 2 months showed considerable strength.

Did NMD get any mentions after its AGM out of interest? I didn't get IC last week....even a tip in the usual rags would see this go bonkers IMO as it is so tightly held. Up 6% on 4k of shares! Blimey...

Agree with you on the targets front. It’s been a tough few months for us all I’m sure - very slow. I think it was Warren Buffett who last year stated that he can’t help that earnings dont follow the same physics based rules of the universe with the astronomical alignments of days, months, quarters and years. Just got to sit and be patient and judge over the long run.

No issue with anyone’s posts here personally. CC2014 it’s best to allow all spectrums of confidence on the board and make your own mind up like you have where the correct sentiment should lie. No point in causing agro over a differing of sentiment though.

I think the lack of posts reflects how unfashionable investing has become. It's all crypto now and wanting to make a buck as fast as possible.

Sometimes I think people forget that the best way to make money fast is to first of all make money at all.

I am an inpatient person when it comes to investing. My objective is to make 5% a year. Stretch target 10%. So, setting out I plan to make half a percent a month but then get frustrated when I don't make 10% a month as I struggle to understand why the market is so slow to react.

I almost always make the stretch target and sometimes by alot more, yet my mindset still insists I should have done better.

Anyways I shall wait for a turnover of £500m at a margin of um well shall we go for 3% as 5% looks a bit of a stretch based on past performance. Should be good for a market cap. of around £75m by then.

Just need to remind myself to be patient and that doubling my money in say 3 years whilst collecting a dividend as well is a no brainer.

CC2014 - I agree that QS99 is a little over bullish at times but it is at least nice to see someone posting about NMD. I've been a holder since 1996 and have literally witnessed years go by without a single post!

Cheers mate and not meaning to "ramp" will look at your post closer later, just trying to raise awareness rather than ramp! Have a good day.

Highways margins are near 2%, telecoms is a small part and virgin price upgrade looks like from 1 April should help. But yes, increasing profits JUST on revenue increase but at lower margins is unacceptable, and they need to sort it out, it cannot be that difficult to find £1m costs on £300m!! Perhaps the Board could all take a 10% pay cut that would have a disproportionate affect on the underlying profit margins perhaps?! haha DYOR etc but another company IMO will look at this and wonder if it can run things at say 5% margins year on year and so I am holding on for corporate action if this management cannot sort it out asap. Chairman should put pressure on or find a bidder...IMO DYOR

prudent Pj. I thought legacy issues were done, it is now NMD appealing the case so maybe more legal costs but no more exceptional write downs etc? DYOR
qs99

That will do for me. Obviously like most I'm having to use some 'hope' that the legacy issues are eventually bottomed.

Chart wise, I have put a stop in though as a defence for 50% of my holding, just in case.

So underlying PBT last year was c.£8m, Depn £3m.....so EBITDA say of £12m.....any decent increase this year, say 10% should mean near to £14m EBITDA with net cash and market cap of c.£33m as of today. Legacy issue done last year......

The use of cash to do some of its own building is a neat idea if they get it right. Should be a great way IMO to deploy its cash and get a better return...

DYOR on all the above, but not going to worry about any small deviations as IMO this just looks crazily valued still and some other player will take it out if it continues at this EBITDA/EV rating of less than 2 by above maths....DYOR and all IMO
