Posted at 12/11/2018 07:09 by qs99 Monday is here dround, let's see if NMD can keep going! Budget IMO has provided great runway of infrastructure projects and continued building programmes, more so than for a very long time so IMO the long-term spending by UK Govt is a good macro backdrop for the likes of NMD...DYOR |
Posted at 08/11/2018 12:23 by qs99 blimey over 6,000 shares traded is unusual for NMD! |
Posted at 08/11/2018 08:41 by qs99 Yup cc I’d be interested!Either way looks like NMD is slowly and surely being re-rated.... let’s hope management can get to their 5> margin sooner and start motoring towards a £1bn turnover business.. DYOR and GLa |
Posted at 07/11/2018 09:36 by cc2014 That's a good question QS99 and very difficult to answer.NMD is part of FTSE fledgling and as far as I'm aware there is no FTSE fledgling ETF or tracker fund. It's going to take some time to get promoted to FTSE small cap as the entry requirement is around £185m market cap. FTSE small cap trackers are not popular in the UK, although they are very popular in the US. Having said all that the small cap funds will begin to take notice somewhere between £75-100m market cap. These aren't trackers but will be searching for small cap companies which can significantly outperform the market. NMD fits this bill. However, the low liquidity and family share ownership is going to put them off as it's going to be difficult for them to get a decent chunk of shares. Should the share price rise to say £20 per share I suspect the family will be forced to provide greater liquidity. That's a good problem to have though. In the meantime what we can clearly see is that the management team are busy bidding and winning new work which will grow the company at a minimum rate of 20-25% a year, a decent achievement against a fairly bland UK economy. We can also see there is a strategy in their bid process, focusing on areas of work they know well. It suggest a managed, focused approach and that's always the right sort of work to win. This share is the best share in my portfolio and more importantly is easy for me to manage. I'm in at 115p and I always imagined when I got a share that multi-bagged this much this fast I'd be spending all my time trying to figure out where to sell. Instead I find myself looking at the newsflow and knowing that's not a decision I need to make. How wonderful. |
Posted at 06/11/2018 12:55 by qs99 Good spot. I don't have L2 so can't see these sorts of things. If NMD comes off (i.e. north of an Ayrton) I'll invest in the upgrade! |
Posted at 25/10/2018 08:20 by dround87 Good start! Everything else is going down but NMD holding firm. |
Posted at 24/10/2018 08:23 by cc2014 Boom!So roughly that say 342.5m x 1.75% = £6m profit. = 60p EPS. the current dividend is interim 6p plus final 3p. Anyone's guess how far they are going to raise the dividend. A final dividend of 9p would still seem very conservative. |
Posted at 24/10/2018 08:15 by qs99 makes it much easier to be bought IMO! Still a long long way to go on net margins, but could an acquirer lose a lot of central cost and bring other efficiencies?RNS IMO also bodes well for further good cash generation news and dividend news IMO... DYOR, tenner is my target as you know, first one anyway. |
Posted at 04/9/2018 10:56 by cc2014 Leicester City Contract.Lot 3 is worth £44m over 4 years split between North Midland, J Tomlinson and Seddons Lot 4 is worth £156m over 4 years split between North Midland, Kier, Clegg and Morgan Sindall. 44/3+ 156/4 = £54m for NMD over 4 years provided they all get an equal amount (which they won't) Or about £13m a year which is about 4.2% of NMD turnover. Nice. |
