01/3/2024 08:33 | Wincanton take out today shows what a low price was achieved here. I know, too late and all that and I made 70% gain, but there was more on the table. | markie7
12/2/2024 23:21 | bdbd11....My favourites are pretty much the same as the ones that I picked at the start of the year in the Stockchallenge... RNO RTC JNEO SNWS AEO Mixture of deep value, outstanding growth and two very high yield plays. | davidosh
12/2/2024 21:52 | Mine in too. Well done all and best wishes. I ended up with a huge stake in this (for me) buying all the way up. I've capital to deploy so any ideas on others to look at would be gratefully received. Regards. | bdbd11
12/2/2024 19:43 | Now received it | everton448

12/2/2024 11:21 | Cheers everton448, comforting to know I'm not alone. Annoyed that nothing has come in yet, when they said 12th by the latest I assumed I'd have it already. | katsy
12/2/2024 09:44 | me too - think it should arrive today | everton448
12/2/2024 09:33 | Don't know if anybody is still here, but my trading account still hasn't had the money, is that the same for anybody else? | katsy
09/1/2024 13:16 | Resolutions (easily) passed at General Meeting. Expected timetable now is Court date - 25 January Dealing in shares suspended - 29 January Last date despatch of cheques or crediting of crest - 12 February | stemis
29/12/2023 09:11 | Thank you re the SD. I suppose I expect the ambitions of a hedge fund to be greater than a 1% return over three months. They are meant to be more ruthless in their pursuit of capital appreciation than private investors! | everton448
28/12/2023 23:30 | everton448 there is no stamp duty to buy DX. If you don't think that buying makes sense do you think that hanging on for the extra 0.507p that I missed out by selling is worthwhile? | this_is_me
21/12/2023 23:32 | Maybe they are mates or associates of HIG doing them a favour to get the transaction over the line... | stemis
21/12/2023 16:51 | Don't understand why hedge funds are buying at 47 pence (plus stamp duty?) to tie money up for 3 months and sell at 47.4 pence. Anyone any (informed) thoughts? | everton448
21/12/2023 16:12 | The timetable is on page 12 of the circular hxxps://investors.dx | stemis
21/12/2023 15:58 | What's the timeline for completion here? | katsy
20/12/2023 21:24 | Agreed. My use of the word "trying" was crucial. | nigelpm
20/12/2023 18:46 | It would be nice if they could but I'd be surprised if they did... | stemis
20/12/2023 15:16 | Looks like hedge funds trying to see if they can squeeze a few more pence out. | nigelpm
19/12/2023 06:57 | That's brilliant, Exbroker. Thanks for that and I'd agree the bid will likely go through as it seems everyone has caved and no institutions are complaining of it being too cheap. I'll likely hold mine as 3-5months is not long to wait with an outside chance of a higher bid esp. with no competition worries. As an aside, been looking closer at Samson Rock (accounts) and Sandgrove and takeovers in general. its an area , I'm going to play in size in future having backtested a lot of them. | miti 1000
18/12/2023 19:59 | Do Lombard Odier think that they might not get the 75% that they need and so are just selling. I sold mine for 46.9257p. OK I could have held out for the extra 0.5p but I thought that it wasn't worth the risk. If the deal doesn't complete and the share price crashes I will buy back in. | this_is_me
15/12/2023 08:17 | The key point is that the arbs will sell at 47.5 as above ALL else they don't want to be holding the stock if the deal collapses. So at the moment it's a one way bet for them as HIG can't legally pull out. They make 2-3% and get a free bet on the very slight chance of a fresh bid. There is virtually no chance of that btw, unless my understanding of the rules is out of date | markie7 |
