NEW YORK, Sept. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- New York Wine Events will host its 8th Annual New York City Autumn Wine & Food Festival on a virtual platform on Friday, October 16th from 7pm-8:30pm and Saturday, October 17th from 4pm-5:30pm. The virtual festival is presented by Citi and is offered free to the general public (ages 21 and older) and will be available to view online on demand after the live sessions.

As businesses are resuming activities in the new normal, New York Wine Events continues its mission of discovery and education, introducing and connecting the public with an array of wineries, craft makers and brands. The company's weekly Virtual Tasting series broadcast on Zoom, Facebook Live and Instagram Live has become extremely popular with wine, spirits, food and lifestyle enthusiasts not only in the NY metro area, but across the US and beyond. The New York Wine Events virtual festival experience enables wineries, distilleries, artisanal food makers, beverages, and brands to reach and engage with new fans nationwide.

Named in 2019 by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in a nationwide review as one of the "12 fall food and wine festivals you won't want to miss," this year's virtual edition of New York Wine Events' long-running October tasting features two sessions that will each showcase 10-12 different wineries, craft food makers, and lifestyle brands, plus include Virtual Booths for all participating companies, live during event hours.

"For over 12 years, our physical events have always been about discovery, education, and interaction and now our virtual festival platform continues in this vein," notes Sam Kimball, founder of New York Wine Events. "It's important to us to continue to connect wine and food lovers to diverse and exceptional makers and we've created a fun, informative virtual experience that guests can now enjoy free of charge, from the comfort of home."

Attendees of the virtual fall event can watch an array of companies spotlight their offerings on the Main Stage, ask questions in real time through a chat function, explore the Expo area to enter Virtual Booths and speak directly to the makers, and also purchase items for sale with special promotional offers available before, during and after the event.

Participating sponsors, wineries, and purveyors include: Citi (presenting sponsor), Ridge Vineyards (CA), Aruba Tourism, Robert Biale Vineyard (CA), Althea's Tropical Delights, Riverhorse Wine Imports (South Africa/Greece), Oak Farm Vineyards (CA), Blossom Water, Maiden + Liberty (NY/France), Drunken Fruit, Gladiator Wine Distribution (Italy), For the Love of Toffee, Louis M. Martini Winery (CA), Mengler Family Wines (CA), Salsa di Parma, and Whitecliff Vineyard & Winery (NY). Additional makers to be added, check web site for details.
