CHICAGO, Feb. 10,
2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Love soared to new heights
at Skydeck Chicago this weekend as four couples exchanged vows
on The Ledge, the iconic glass-floor balcony 1,353 feet above the
city. As part of Skydeck's annual Love on the Ledge contest, two
couples tied the knot and two renewed their vows in an
unforgettable celebration surrounded by sweeping skyline views.
Selected in January, the winning couples enjoyed a romantic
getaway featuring an overnight stay at Canopy by Hilton Chicago
Central Loop, a professional photoshoot, and premium onsite
offerings, including a champagne toast, breakfast, and a sweet
treat from Wicked Good Cupcakes. Each intimate, 15-minute ceremony
featured elegant florals and décor, creating a magical setting for
their special moment.
Vow Renewals:
- Gabriel & Eflin Ocampo – Gabriel and Eflin Ocampo's
love story began with a first date at Navy Pier in 2007 and a
proposal in the same spot years later. Married in 2012, they
returned to The Ledge, where they once announced their first
pregnancy, to renew their vows with their two sons beside
them.
- Carlos & Carolina
Diaz – Carlos and Carolina
Diaz met at a carwash in 2019, proving love can happen at
any age. After moving in together during the pandemic, they married
in 2021. They renewed their vows on The Ledge to celebrate their
unexpected yet magical love story.
Weddings:
- Wuarez Jackson & Minnie
Johnson – Wuarez Jackson fell for Minnie Johnson at first sight in 1999, and
they've been inseparable since. After years of putting family
first, they finally said "I do" on The Ledge, honoring Minnie's
late mother, who always wished for this day.
- Tyrent Ward & Carla
Shaw – Carla Shaw and
Tyrent Ward met in substance abuse treatment and have supported
each other ever since. Overcoming hardships together, they built a
