The new agent for Solaris quickly and proactively
identifies issues within the system before they happen. It is
designed to identify configuration issues, locate exhausted or
underutilized resources, isolate problems, and provide on demand
access to configuration information—including OS utilization
levels, devices, processor/memory information, and virtual
features. View all features.
The updated AIX and Linux agents will provide users with:
- User-Friendly Block Device Names that improve naming
conventions to help better identify disk assets on Linux or AIX
systems.
- Volume Group, IBM GPFS & Oracle ASM Storage Capacity
Pills that allow users to quickly visualize storage group
capacities.
- Additional Configuration Details that provide expanded
information for adapters, disks, block devices, and more.
- Enhanced Configuration Details that provide information
to better troubleshoot potential network issues.
- New Top Process Charting that provides a summary of
active processes that consume excessive resources.
"The growth of our server monitoring capabilities is exceeding
the demands of our customers who want to improve decision-making
while controlling costs by quickly and easily monitoring, drilling
down, and analyzing highly granular performance data in seconds not
weeks and months it typically took before using Galileo," says Tim
Conley, co-creator of Galileo Performance Explorer at the ATS
Group.
Included in Galileo's product roadmap will be performance
monitoring agents for IBM's iSeries system, EMC, Brocade SAN, Cisco
SAN, Hitachi, and Oracle.
