It’s not abandoned it’s just that most solid investors are enjoying life in better places to discuss the prospects.

You have just described an echo chamber.

IMHO they don't work because you lose the alternative viewpoint, or lone voice that can see a problem everyone else can't, or doesn't want to see.

Healthy debate is just that, healthy, IMO.

I always try to think outside the box and I'm going to use Bids as an example.

So many got sucked in, some are false as they make out they are sucked in, going to be huge, pump and dump it.

So Bids and in-game advertising. People think wow opens door huge huge huge, but what about this view, which I know happens all the time in business.

Currently in-game advertising is fixed programmed in, locked down can't be changed.

Take Nike in all sorts of sports game and related contracts with game companies.

The first major hurdle.

To have changeable in-game advertising you have to be knocking off long term established contracts with big names.

So the game owner says, sorry Nike you are ditched for this game we are trying something new where adverts can be changed for any interested company.

Nike simply say, Yes fine please cancel every other contract we have with you.

That's how big names work they use their leverage to make you comply as without them your business gets massively hit. Hence it's very difficult to break in.

Really SERIOUS problem number 2.

You introduce banners of spaces within games that can be hacked to add your own 'ideas'. The guys that are manic on such games are computer geeks, they hunt down glitches and cheats to gain an advantage.

Then to their delight, a game now has banners that can be hacked and they can put their own ads in it. A race to be the first one to do it, they would probably come up with something outrageous like porn to get maximum publicity and to enhance the kudos of the hack.

It will happen they WILL hack those banners.

Anything like the above and the sponsors would cut all deals immediately to distance themselves from the gaming company. It's absolutely brutal when it happens. Celebrities get tossed off a cliff sometimes on completely false allegations, their lives ruined.

The point is the big games will know that risk, so why take that risk as the downside risk could be terminal and the upside not so convincing.

I agree with guesses that Aecom will have something relevant to announce early in 2020, and that textiles will produce news very soon. I suspect that the first of latter will involve makers whose names might not be big familiar brands - but that's fine with me; I am confident that the textiles story will grow and grow.

I am equally confident that in 2020 some journalist at FT, or IC, or WSJ or wherever will "discover" Versarien and declare it to be "an overlooked little Gloucestershire company with global prospects" or somesuch.

Read the recent Interim report carefully. It contains clues to answering your question

My personal expectation is that now that AECOM's testing has completed a contract is 'imminent'. Timing depends on TFL's desperation to fix the signalling on the London tube (cf. yesterday's chaos at Victoria )and for routine, planned improvement on the Jubilee and other lines, Crossrail etc. The New Year will probably see the budget for AECOM UK in 2020 cleared by US head office as is the case in so many global organisations. That is all pure fancy on my part.

In short my guess is an 80% probability that we will get an AECOM contract or significant re-order in Q1 or Q2 and following hard on that two or three orders from textile and footwear brands to produce graphene containing products for release in September 2020 for the next Christmas season.

The fifth likely order is for drill heads from the us oil & gas customer, because testing has been satisfactory and economic benefit for the customer from reduced stoppages is extremely high.

These four or five contracts would propel the share price to fsr above the recent high. They would also, immediately put extra value onto the share price to reflect an intangible value in each of the collaborations still testing, but which are not yet given any financial credence.

The situation in China has drawn far more attention than the above, but is concerned with local and national government. At CWR, collaborations were with a $ multi-billion motor behemoth. That moved quickly to a £49m investment and a £39m supply contract. Chinese business moves much faster than in the capitalist world, but as far as I have understood, VRS is not yet negotiating with an existing, individual large Chinese manufacturer. I think it is all with non commercial government organisations. It is thus IMO less predictablee ven though it should turn out to be much larger.

Please do not give undue weight to these personal musings but as always DYOR as well.

Andy, I am not leaving, I am just posting less often and not reading the drivel. Anyone who has read the RNS’s, been to or read the reports from the AGM’s and investor events and follows Neill and the team on Twitter knows what is in the hopper. All of this is in the public domain. We can chose to believe that narrative or allow the naysayers, who are known to be liars, to undermine our belief (anyone, don’t bother to ask for proof of this statement, I am not playing your game). I am very relaxed about my investment in VRS. What I don’t know is how fast or how far the share price can go, I do believe we need to move forward and prove the model before we will see a new ATH. Whether that is with AECOM, MAS, cement, oil and gas, aviation or China I don’t know, but any one could be a game changer. Each has a different profile in terms of likely speed and scale of delivery, but any one could ultimately be massive. Bear in mind non of these companies would give Versarien the time of day unless they were confident of quality and supply. No one can 100% accurately predict the future, but I am very optimistic for 2020 and beyond.

Total agree!

Let’s hope a China deal will then be the icing on the cake too!

Good luck with your new discussion group which, as a solid investor in VRS, I would love to join!

Many thanks for all your efforts in managing this bb.

It has been much appreciated by many on this bb.
