Costly on a tiny position? That's not credible my friend. Either its costly or not costly. If its costly then its causing you pain. Wishing you a Merry Christmas to help sooth your losses.

Those who think there is not healthy debate elsewhere may not be well-informed. "Healthy", I emphasise.

I agree with you superg. There are lots of companies that can build cars. Not all have the right batteries.

The other thing is, I get the impression that Tesla is also streets ahead on autonomous vehicles.

Interesting bounce from 65p to 95p, but on the basis that no news and no money is bad news... I'll pass. 😃

Remember that reply you made to WSHAK on the 16th December? Let me quote it back to you :TSLA costly for me : (If that was on the 16th December when the Tesla share price was about 360 dollars, how bad must your short position there be now that the Tesla share price was over 400 dollar yesterday!!! OUCH OUCH

Your math is pretty poor my friend, which means the rest of your arguement comes into serious question. I think you will find that if you lose 50% of your original investment then it needs to go up 100% of the residual to get to break even. Ouch for you when it comes to Tesla though. Remember when you were moaning about how costly it was for you the other day on Twitter?

alchemy - if you are heavily invested you wouldn't be human if you didn't get a scintilla of fear occasionally. It is that scintilla of fear that the naysayers feed and water with their lies and deceit.

Like many on here I've been disappointed with the lack of commercial deals. But I remain confident about progress in the new year. Can I be sure? No, I've not got 2020 vision.

I'll get my coat...

Dyson messed it up on the battery tech they pursued.

Musk has not only added electric cars but made they far better than typical first appearance of tech

In the phone world going in with s art phone as the starting point indeed of a Nokia brick of the good old days.

I was looking at what Audi have planned and they first to come there don't look a patch Tesla performance.

The Audi etron GT may start to close the gap

I notice a real change in your tone Nicholas. That Tesla short must be really really hurting. I bet you wish you hadn't made that public, seems to be causing you some ill will at what is a time for rejoicing in this holiday season. I'm sorry you're losing so much money on a poor Tesla position but I do wish you the best of Christmas and a happy New Year. PS my VRS average is way way lower that you've quoted. Try down in the 20p territory. : - )

DivergenceGreat year for the company.Very poor for the share price I was a second wave investor buying at 110 70 100 and I got some at 182!I had to shave some at 94 . So I hope since we are pregnant with so many future wunders that in the first quarter we shine.Basically I'm buy and hold but I get scintilla of fear occasionally.I'll be wishing you all well early next week.Per ardua ad Versarien. Carpe diem, tomorrow we fish.

If you guys are looking for quick and easy share price charts, not just for VRS but for any company, go to google and type in the ticker code plus LSE.

For Versarien (for example) "VRS LSE", or for Iofina, type in "IOF LSE".

You can select the share price charts for a range of date options, from today to the last 5 years.

Andy, I have some sympathy with your last post but what we have here is not an alternative view but a deliberate attempt to undermine Versarien using any means possible including lies and deceit, and the sad fact is it works as most people can’t be bothered to look beneath the superficial. I am aware of the risks associated with being in an echo chamber, but it is better than what we have here.

With Versarien approaching commercialisation on so many fronts, 2020 looks like being a very good year - one in which the detractors endlessly reciting the only sentences they know, like sad old parrots, will drift off into space, still reciting their lines.

superg1,

Many thanks for restoring the charts, it adds so much value to the thread, IMO.

I don't agree re Twitter, people can self moderate here, including yourself, to remove the posts of posters that cause you angst or try to wreck the thread.

I have never filtered a person holding an opposing view, if they present a lucid argument, only those that post repetitively attacking other posters personally, and that's always worked well.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Governments still do not seem to realise the huge change Tesla is going to make to the car industry worldwide, particularly the resulting huge reduction in manufacturing jobs which will happen.

Look how far Tesla has come in such a short time. Even Dyson was flirting with producing electric cars, though he has since cancelled that idea. I guess because he realised very quickly that making electric vehicles is so much easier than ICE, competition is going to be fierce. When battery technology is brought into the 21st century, hopefully with VRS's help, the change is going to accelerate even more.

See Tony Seba on YouTube if you have not already watched.
