26/3/2019 07:25 | "There's a heck of a lot more energy in an EV battery. I'd hate to be near one that failed." Whereas driving around with a tankful of petrol onboard that can catch fire in a crash and explode, among roadfuls of other vehicles similarly armed and hurtling close by at a 140mph collision speed, worries nobody. Except when trapped in motorway pile-ups. But they never happen do they. :-o If petrol cars were a new invention, would they even be allowed? | ![]() grabster

26/3/2019 06:50 | WR63 I know we shouldn't but it's pinned in the header for all to see so another gift. Trying to mock you re "Could you please provide examples of WG promotion of Talga, for you to consider him being one of the biggest promoters of poor companies (Talga)?" For your info WR Warwick bought into Talga 8.3% then started to pump it. EG Veteran stockpicker Warwick Grigor bets big on graphene “Talga to me is potentially a billion-dollar stock,” Mr Grigor said. “The penny hasn’t dropped because people don’t understand, but I’ve spent the past year studying all this and there’s nothing like it. It’s unique.” “Talga will be able to produce graphene for nominal cost, only 5-10 per cent of the cost everyone else has to pay,” he said. He pumped it like mad then dumped his holding He now trashes Talga as he jumped ship into FGR calling that the biggest and best. Took some nice hefty fees raising cash for FGR and now apparently to him FGR is the best in the world not Talga. Take his lies about Talga “Talga will be able to produce graphene for nominal cost, only 5-10 per cent of the cost everyone else has to pay,” he said. Now if the nice Mr Spiv Grigor could explain how he knows the exact production costs of all graphene producers worldwide, to come to a cost of 5% to 10% then we are all ears. Funny that because as soon as he dumped Talga he then called FGR (in an FGR interview), the cheapest graphene producer in the world. I've often wondered how he hacked into every graphene company worldwide to view their accounts and cost matrix. :-) BTW The Talga boss Mark once claimed the UOM said Talga graphene was the best in the world. It's funny how the Aussie failed graphite stocks suddenly became the best in the world when 1000's of scientists for a decade or more couldn't crack what they claim. Yes it is amazing how the ASX boys seem to be able to freely make blatant lies up and go public with it for personal gain. | ![]() superg1

26/3/2019 03:20 | Only 28 retweets of Roger's fantastic cartoon so far. He's put a lot of effort into it and I think it's a fantastic promotional tool for us and a great way of publicly ridiculing the shorters. For those of you on Twitter, it would be great if you could take the time to retweet it to ensure it gets maximum coverage. Even Neill has commented on it so he clearly approves of the message. | ![]() foolishben

25/3/2019 20:24 | I think you're mistaken there owenga. Obviously one of the Versarien shareholders thinks it is worthwhile, I cannot believe they would bother with FGR after all the comments SG1 has made about them. It appears they are threatened by them. | ![]() spid81
25/3/2019 19:42 | Good morning adversarien. I think you need to rewatch the video, Warwick didn't say FGR are the preffered supplier to RR, BAE or Airbus. He said in last week's video that FGR are the preferred supplier to the University of Manchester. Which is correct. He then said something along the lines, we will be rubbing shoulders with RR, BAE and Airbus. Misquoting WG or FGR is a very dangerous game when your using Versarien's name in your title, I doubt Neill Ricketts would approve of such actions. BTW You probably need to send another email to those companies explaining that you misquoted Warwick. | ![]() spid81

25/3/2019 18:33 | And daimler-bmw too. Best ellis 'Joint Venture with BMW: Five reasons why we are even stronger togetherJoint ventures between BMW Group and Daimler? From an outside perspective, that may seem a bit odd at first. But times are changing — and that’s actually a good thing!' "A recent remark of the German Chancellor about global partnerships also applies to the mobility services offered by BMW and Daimler: We’re stronger together. That’s why we are now combining our respective mobility services, ranging from driving to parking, charging, and sharing. Here are my top 5 arguments for supporting this move: 1.) We are strengthening sustainable mobility Our cooperation will fundamentally improve the way people move around in an urban environment — the new player will pave the way for a world that travels via autonomous and electrified vehicle fleets. This will reduce emissions generated by road traffic and enhance our customers’ comfort. 2.) We offer an individual all-round service package BMW and Daimler are experts when it comes to hardware and software for push-button mobility. Our shared services cover the entire value chain, ranging from automobile production to individual on demand mobility, and we are continuing to expand them. Looking at “smart cities” we’re also expanding options for individual mobility in cities, municipalities, and regions....etc" | ![]() ellissj
25/3/2019 18:31 | Interesting the German electric car news. I wonder if any of that lot have spoken to Gnanomat. VW have been flying along down that road. It's pretty much why Torotrak folded as all emission type tech went out of the window on any R and D a while back. | ![]() superg1
25/3/2019 18:29 | Shavian (and others), I don't doubt your new car stats, but note my comments referred to timescale, and not the principle of EVs. If you are relaxed about ICE/EV for your next car, I presume you have no anxiety re range or recharge time/location. Lucky you! I suggest you are in a considerable minority. My points primarily related to change-over issues in the real world rather than in an ideal one, and for the majority and not a minority of car users. Of course I note mentions of approaches to the technology and even management or alleviation of the issues, but, short of some very substantial battery breakthrough, and even then, by and large I stick with my view. It will all take significant time - notably more than 2 or 3 years. Not for the "top 10%-20% of drivers" if I may refer to them as such - EVs are on the roads now of course. (Hybrids don't count.) However, remembering where we are posting, I did emphasise the importance of developing better battery tech as a leading issue. So we both say come on Gnano, I expect! Re the rest, we'll see! No point in more here - anyway, I'm off very early tomorrow, driving from Hampshire to be in Skye by late evening. An EV? Ha ha! | ![]() hew
25/3/2019 18:19 | And flats autonomous, car sharing idea too. :) best ellis 'BYD teams up with Baidu, Dadao in new energy, autonomous driving areas.' "BYD, Baidu and Dadao, a sharing vehicle platform, announced on June 6 that they had signed an array of cooperation agreements in new energy vehicle, autonomous driving technology and car-sharing operation of vehicles. It is reported that the three parties would capitalize on their advantages in new energy vehicle market, intelligent driving or autonomous driving technologies and car-sharing operation areas. Besides, they would mainly explore the development and application of autonomous driving technologies in new energy vehicle area. In particular, they would conduct deep exploration and cooperation on the issue that how intelligent vehicles can be quickly put into operation through a car-sharing platform." | ![]() ellissj
25/3/2019 18:18 | Snoopy re. Guys still very much here but sold quite a few and took a bit of a loss to make up on FOOT and BIDS. Sorry to hear that but were you in FOOT and BIDS or are you just price spike chasing? Just saying as it's normally a road to losses. You'll soon make losses back with the VRS you have left (and some);-) | ![]() superg1 |
