Ellis - Wow, electric planes! That's a new concept but could be made possible I guess if they had help with the batteries....

This is the only article I could find which mentions it..

The Department for International Trade has organised a UK supplier trade mission to Collins Aerospace (formerly Rockwell Collins) Charlotte, North Carolina facility later this month.

Hello sands. Well yes, i see collins have a defence arm, and communications. Given the nature of that i didn't reference these, but indeed there could be a link in those sectors. I see ministers on the collins trip today per below tweet. Well done neill and co to get into the mix here ! PS i see ministers visiting mclaren F1 too out of interest ! Aimo best ellis

Ellissj posted on March 21st re the UK Technology and Capability Showcase:

"Edit : no details of this show on google. Invitation only and 'best of british' show case inc 2D products therefore? Well done vrs. Aimo. Best ellis"

There is still no mention of this on Google. Apart from VRS's mention of the event it seems like a total news blackout. No mention of the event or British Companies involved. Not even on Antonia Romeo's twitter and she usually posts about such events. I can understand the need for secrecy in the Aerospace Defence industries but I would expect the event and attendees to be of no strategic significance. Strange!

I wonder if new announcements will come because of Gnanomat...and possibly the automotive industry

corrected, ta ;-)

I doubt if the other VRS ticker would matter in the setting up of the (non-listed) company. There are various ticker formats Versarien could us in the event that they ever go for a US listing. Choosing to be known as Versarien Graphene (rather than, say, Versarien Nanomaterials or whatever) does seem rather graphene-specific. But maybe that's just to cash in on the graphene bandwagon effect there. The NGA has done the same of course, and VG Inc ties in nicey with that theme.

Grabster: "That tallies with a question I posed after the rns - why has the company been registered as 'Verarien Graphene Inc'"

Grab, I assume you mean Versarien (rather than Versarien)?

One reason may be to avoid confusion with another company, not involved with Graphene as far as I know, but quoted on a couple of US exchanges, as VRS.

(link later, as on limited internet in the sticks)

Interesting to see that Volkswagen are leading the charge for the German auto industry to switch entirely to EV production, and not only that, but to create an entire infrastructure dedicated to it.

They must be very confident in their EV production plans and next-gen battery/super-cap tech.

I like this phrase “Versariens FIRST US based application development facility” ” I wonder how many more there will be :-)

That tallies with a question I posed after the rns - why has the company been registered as 'Versarien Graphene Inc' when graphene is merely one of numerous 2d materials in the company portfolio. It kinda leaves open the possibility that VGI will focus specifically on graphene alone, and leaves the door open for VRS to set up other US subsidiaries differing in their focus.

I agree with that assesment dg. Neills thanks (quoted below) shows the level of assistance here; a US national association and US gov too. This chimes with UK gov support via dit/beis secondees - following huge interest from china, and mou's/loi's with big firms out there including the 2 national aerospace state owned firms - one of which where a strategic partnership is touted. Neill again thanks uk and chinese govs. Plus as neill said on the last poddy; there are also opportunities in korea, japan and india. Vrs very well placed in this new science. They look to be at the very heart of this 2D materials emerging industry ? Aimo. Best ellis

Usa update:

"I would like to express my sincere thanks to the support and assistance we have received from the National Graphene Association and Senator Wicker to develop our business and network in the US."

Chinese areospace rns:

'This agreement is the latest in a series that we have entered into with parties in China and I would like to take this opportunity to again thank both the Chinese and UK governments for the support and assistance they are providing."

Ian Cowie's article yesterday commenting how his purchase of Versarien was 43% down but as Graphene was originally isolated in UK and might be be a commercial success, he is hanging on and not selling.

For me a significant part of the last RNS was the quote of Zina Jarrahi Clinker :

"Zina Jarrahi Cinker, Executive Director of the National Graphene Association, commented: "The establishment of Versarien's first U.S-Based application development facility in Houston, Texas is a significant step for the development of graphene and graphene technologies in the United States. Versarien is a key member the elite Graphene Industry Council and I strongly believe Versarien Graphene Inc will be well positioned to serve the North American end user markets and facilitate the integration of graphene in strategic product segments."

It is as much a significant step for US graphene development as it is for Versarien.

Good morning Superg1, Graham Wood.

Yesterday you posted the following

"Could be very damaging for his company. Highly relevant that VRS know, so I have informed them" (post 47000)

Just out of interest, Who did you send the information too, Neill or another director?

It seems extremely odd to me that you forward that information to Versarien regarding my posting history / who I am. Within hours of you sending that information, a new poster arrives on Hotcopper called AdVersarien to attack me, FGR & Warwick Grigor.

If you could clear this up or if you know who this poster is, I would greatly appreciate a reply.
