We only need to produce enough Nanene to prove viability, then customer and countries (China) will produce shed loads we get ££££ from each and every product ip % cost benefits etc etc .... it's endless

Another early start travelling the breadth of the country with Martin Kemp, easier journey for him than me but totally exciting,

Tungshu is not priced in st the current share price Neill said his worst nightmare would be that the collaborations all come in at once. That's a dream for us PI's.

I don't know why people are getting consumed by price. Yes the price will drop as we provide larger orders. But the gross profit is massive. Neill has indicated it is about 98% on smallish orders.. that is plenty of scope to reduce as volume increases and still create gigantic gross profit.

I could be wrong but yesterday was the first time news arrived in the middle of the day. Which means in the future we could expect it at any time of the day ...

VRS1 and Lucky Orange,

This is the pricing chart from Fullerex, they are the ones who write the research reports for the graphene industry, you can purchase the report from the Graphene Council.

The table clearly shows that the price per Kg is significantly more that what it is for a purchase of 1000kgs.

We are also not aware of how much manufacturers will pay,are paying, for the knowledge re making the composites. It is not just a matter of supplying the raw material.

You are right lovat, we had assurances early on regarding pricing of the product from serratia , Andrew D and superg which was backed up by Neill , he knows how to price it and hold out for that price.

Of course Ray at Haydale knows all about buying cheap and what it costs the company, however the information on all of those purchases is worth having on the very small no. that do produce consistency and quality.

I wouldn't be here if they were selling at the cheap prices being claimed, apart from anything else the CFO has high principles and targets in making money. 🌞

divers - I hope so. We were waiting for news on China, it arrived and the markets shrugged and said 'meh'. We were waiting for the first order, and it really didn't move the price much yesterday (tho the news may feed through in the next few days - maybe that guy in the Times will mention it on Sunday). Of course the markets in general are in turmoil - due to Brexit not least - so perhaps only to be expected.

I think M&S tarted selling stuff for just 1 penny and look where they ended up. Orders have to start somewhere and since graphene seems to have a short shelf life it needs a constant rather than huge immediate supply.

aramid
/ˈaramɪd/Submit
noun
any of a class of synthetic polyamides that are formed from aromatic monomers, and yield fibres of exceptional strength and thermal stability.

Aramid fibers are a class of heat-resistant and strong synthetic fibers. They are used in aerospace and military applications, for ballistic-rated body armor fabric and ballistic composites, in bicycle tires, marine cordage, marine hull reinforcement, and as an asbestos substitute.[1] The name is a portmanteau of "aromatic polyamide". The chain molecules in the fibers are highly oriented along the fiber axis. As a result, a higher proportion of the chemical bond contributes more to fiber strength than in many other synthetic fibers. Aramides have a very high melting point (>500 °C)

Aromatic polyamides were first introduced in commercial applications in the early 1960s, with a meta-aramid fiber produced by DuPont as HT-1 and then under the trade name Nomex.[2] This fiber, which handles similarly to normal textile apparel fibers, is characterized by its excellent resistance to heat, as it neither melts nor ignites in normal levels of oxygen. It is used extensively in the production of protective apparel, air filtration, thermal and electrical insulation, as well as a substitute for asbestos. Meta-aramid is also produced in the Netherlands and Japan by Teijin Aramid under the trade name Teijinconex,[2] in Korea by Toray under the trade name Arawin, in China by Yantai Tayho under the trade name New Star, by SRO Group (China) under the trade name X-Fiper, and a variant of meta-aramid in France by Kermel under the trade name Kermel.

Based on earlier research by Monsanto Company and Bayer, para-aramid fiber with much higher tenacity and elastic modulus was also developed in the 1960s and 1970s by DuPont and AkzoNobel, both profiting from their knowledge of rayon, polyester and nylon processing.

In 1973 DuPont was the first company to introduce a para-aramid fiber, which it called Kevlar, to the market; this remains one of the best-known para-aramids and/or aramids. In 1978, Akzo introduced a similar fiber with roughly the same chemical structure, which it called Twaron. Due to earlier patents on the production process, Akzo and DuPont engaged in a patent dispute in the 1980s. Twaron subsequently came under the ownership of the Teijin Company. (See Production.)

Para-aramids are used in many high-tech applications, such as aerospace and military applications, for "bullet-proof" body armor fabric.

The largest section for the use of aramid fiber is for security and protection (including military applications, private security, Municipal law enforcement and private contractors). The Major market since 2015 is Europe, especially Germany, France and the United Kingdom. The Asia-Pacific region like Japan and China is the second largest with major companies using aramid fiber. Why post that here?
Only because 'aramid paper' is frequently referred to by makers of aircraft interiors - including AIMaltitude - as a component in many aircraft interior products. And some of the attributes for which it is employed are ones likely to be enhanced by incorporation of graphene.

I am excited about today and the run up to Christmas, in recent weeks the VRS team has referred to our newsflow as ‘just the beginning’. This would suggest the pipeline, newsflow is going to snowball which in turn will drive investor enthusiasm and company momentum.

Exciting times here with no shareholder dilution for the forceable future, unlike the loss making competition.

a massive problem with fake graphene, so called graphene companies claiming they produce graphene when in fact it is graphite

all our materials are of the highest quality

nanene

Graphene HP

Graphene Oxide

Reduced GO

Graphene ink

h-Boron Nitride (hexotene tm)

all high quality and not to be confused with the alternative materials out there.

hence we won all tenders we applied for at the cpi.

and all companies from all over beating a path to our door

"Lucky orange just posted £40-50k per kg. I agree. That equates to £150 million."

assuming consistent pricing - but the price will almost certainly drop with volume. Whatever the price is per Kg it won't be an equivalent price (ie 1000x that) per T.

I did wonder why they released yesterday's RNS. Was it because they *had* to - ie that the price for the Kg was 10% of the previous year's turnover (£900k - very very unlikely IMO), or to announce the order for its own sake? Almost certainly the latter - tho I confess I'd hoped the first order would be for say 10Kg or 20Kg or 50Kg, not just one. Still, it's a start...

Hi Lucky,

I cannot see any application being viable using graphene that costing $50 Mil per T,

Can you please list all of these application you think will be viable ?

LuckyO - it’s going to be really hard to work out pricing across the VRS 2D product range especially as we haven’t a clue what value can be given to the application know how as well as the product itself!

In all honesty I’m perfectly happy for VRS to never disclose any of their pricing but it’s interesting to try and work it out!

I still think we are quite a way off from VRS being able to provide reliable revenue forecasts, which I’m happy with, as it can easily become a millstone for this type of company.

With my bullish hat on I think VRS has now emerged from the bottom of the J curve in its business development and it’s now a question of the angle of ascent - although I’m 6 months behind of course!

AIMHO etc
