@HK I don't think anyone is saying they can't but can you provide any evidence (not just hearsay or tweets) suggesting that a scaleup above 3mtpa is planned?

You do know that Talga have quoted prices around $60K/mt for the sorts of applications VRS is looking at. That equates to revenue of $180K.

Further we have no evidence that VRS has a consistent quality supply of graphite for scaleup and they've never to my knowledge given any indication of the cost of production of their products unlike many of their competitors FGR for example.

There is simply nothing to suggest that VRS graphene products should attract a large premium to this to justify the huge market cap premium we are seeing now.

If you look at my posts yesterday you'll see I defined the Twitter Multiple which is the multiple that VRS has in market cap above a basket of peers. This is currently a staggering 9!

You come across as quite bright @HK so perhaps you can prove me wrong?

Just so everyone on this BB is aware, as I read posts yesterday about it - anyone suggesting that VRS can't scale up production quickly, and beyond 3T pa, either before or after their installation (programmed for December), is simply wrong.

Sg - agreed no hurry. I’m the patient type and in no rush, many years available to me to see this one play out. Slow deaths are more satisfying anyway (please note this is not a death threat ;-) )

Some get frustrated and want action in minutes.

The real world way is the full monty. That can take months or a year plus.

There are quick hit simple options for some of them. Some relatively easy options would ruin the qualifications of one or two overnight but best to package it up and get the full spectrum first.

I have been informed that someone who dislikes that shorting team has access to more money than them and is playing them.

Common sense would suggest that they are closing slowly, started to gap up this morning and being filled which is good for the rest of the day.

The share price and businness will sort the lies here in quick time. I had noted the shenanigans re YA over at FRR.

I don’t know enough about FRR but. I do know enough about that lot when they pump or trash a share. It often includes material lies for gain.

It’s just that no one has got a grip of it. Sounding off on BBs and the FCA is not the way forward, reports to those obliged to act is.

@takethat I’ve been watching the FRR board for a long time. Hilarious watching that one play out. Log et al must have lost eye watering amounts. I think thats why they came over here. Unfortunately, the same will happen again but 10x worse. VRS isnt the company to short with all the plays in place. I actually think VRS will send the entire consortium into financial ruin. Couple that with the obvious fraud and malpractice, I’d personally be extremely worried. Close short, get out whilst you can! They’re too arrogant though so will keep trying but we just need to ignore even if we are giving up that ‘I told you so’ moment.

Takethat

Well aware and working on it. I’ve only done a few minutes reading on FRR and it seems a few are out to deal with it.

Some losing their marbles over it but the calm quiet approach is best.

Grabster - I think the problem with the recharging issue is that whereas petrol is a physical commodity - you can see it, you can smell it - electrically-stored energy is invisible, just a cloud of electrons. This is probably where the paranoia about Home recharging comes from. There is no effective difference between having a tank of gas that can take you 300 miles and having a battery with the same range - except that one is physical, the other is 'magic'.At the end of the day this is just an education/information issue. Given the right information campaigns it shouldn't take long to change the public's mind. After all, when I was young drunk-driving and driving without a seatbelt were both perfectly acceptable, and now they're both severely frowned on.

Everyone should have them filtered out, and maybe a heading note to put context to their shorting story.

Great price action this week, keep up the great work team VRS

Here are some more results on adding Graphene to carbon fibre polymers

The graphene used was described as :
Diameter 10–20 (micron)
Purity 96–99%
Surface area 323–600 m2/g
Bulk density 0.231 g/cc
Fibre thickness 3–6 nm
Oxygen content <4%

So not a Versarien product that we know of.

In summary it says

From the above experimental results, it can be concluded that polymer beams reinforced with graphene and carbon fibre samples developed in-house showed optimum results for mechanical properties as compared to plain control beams. This could be due to the high surface area of nanoparticles which reduces the stress concentration at a particular point leading to the distribution of load over a large surface.

Again this points to Versarien Graphene being just another solution and nothing particularly special I'm afraid.

Hi superG

I hope you know that MLG is now FLG under the draft ISO.

You really need to update your terminology, anything that is over 11 layers is considered graphite.

First Graphene produce FLG (under 10 layers)
Versarien Nanene is 90% Few Layer Graphene 10% graphite.

Please keep your posts honest

Just read through the science paper. I remember McLaren I think saying fractions of a % improvement in strength are very significant for them.
The paper ends with -

It shows the considerable potential of using graphene to enhance the mechanical properties of conventional carbon fiber composites even in the high-stiffness fiber direction.

I wonder if the F1 teams are using Carbon fibre / graphene mixes in the new halo that protects drivers. I remember Alonso's car landing on the halo of another in a crash this season and the halo staying intact.
