I don't know if people noticed the authors of the science direct article. One from the National Graphene Institute in Manchester, one from Manchester University, one from McLaren Applied Technologies, one from North thin ply technologies and the last one from Richard Mille.

The snow machine was demonstrated at the Cyroma meeting. The snow is emitted from a funnel made of a composite. On film sets this often gets damaged so filming stops. Filming costs from memory £1m/day so if the machine is broken because the snow machine is out of order the film makers get cross.
Integrating Nanene into the funnel strengthens it so less damage, less down time and less grief from the film director.

I loved the smiley false teeth on P3, but can not fathom their significance other than demonstrating Kayleigh Smith’s sense of humour.

The other intriguing sign was the logo of Snow Business, which was news to me, have I missed a collaboration? This is another Stroud-based company like Renishaw which makes spectacular artificial snow effect for the film industry. I’m trying to figure out the specific application of VRS XT to artificial snow. Graphene snowballs?



More seriously, there is also the link to Exeter Technologies Group, which we already know to be a partner which links us to Airbus among others. SG1 has frequently reported on this link, but this may be interesting to our newbies:

DAFAD , that China military link reminded me of schooldays for some reason when as a class we had to go to church one day a week to listen to the ramblings of a vicar called Morgan.

He was a hellfire and damnation Welsh preacher who warned us of the oncoming 'yellow peril' and if they started walking past you right now you would never see all of them if you live to be 80.

Politically incorrect stuff but a bit scary when you were a kid.

Don't know who dreams that stuff up or why it is published but is the way the world has worked for many years and has zero impact on me because I know the other countries are doing exactly the same thing including GB.

On Zapgo I have been looking at the shareholders and they have attracted some interesting technology investors from the US.

Can't be long before the launch of their fast charge pack which should attract a lot of media attention.

Renishaw are based in Stroud and Dyson are based in Malmesbury. they are both within a few miles of Cheltenham and are well run by very savvy entrepreneurs. they will all know each other and will be working vey closely together already

Of course if graphene oxide (go) or reduced graphene oxide (rgo) were the answer, vrs would be well placed there too. Vrs were cpi tender winners for graphene oxide too i seem to remember ? As far as we know, vrs have no collabs involving go or rgo. It's +nanene and graphinks so far on that score. Aimo. Best ellis
