This post is only my opinion.
I see that loglorry1(who is only the front man)for the WShak shorting team has recently arrived posting regularly on this share.
This team, together, have serious money with which to drive a share price down.

He is very
articulate and persuasive in a negative way.
I have seen this "Crew" in action many times over the years and know their modus operandi well.
As I have said, this is only my opinion and I have no facts to back up the evidence.
But I thought I would bring it to the attention of this board.
AIMHO.
P.S.
This shorting "Consortium" have taken an absolute battering on FRR but they will only surrender their short positions when their losses become even too much for them to "Bare/Bear."
They always target shares that have no significant revenue at present and use this ploy to cause fear in S/Hs and ignore the future potential of the companies they attack.
I only wish that they had been around in the early days of Bill Gates and Microsoft.
They will continue to lob their 10-25k "Sells" at this share in order to "Persuade" you to sell YOUR genuine shares and so further aid their short attack.

I also assumed that many and multi-layer were good for concrete mainly for the thermal conductivity gain.

The articles by Serratia have opened my eyes there.

Vrs keep saying it’s not as simple as sprinkling a magic dust and that gains in other areas not anticipated are being seen including the desired gain.

Quality GNPs that work are proving to be a wonder material way beyond what was originally thought.

Re batteries

Multi-layer I believe can be more conductive than few layer in composites. Multi layer and many layer aka graphite has been used in batteries for years.

EG a lithium battery can contain 40 times more graphite than lithium.

When it comes to graphene batteries I assumed multi-layer would suffice until WMG put out the graphene girders article.

As I recall woth multi-layer they found recharge cycles saw a drop on performance. In short multi-layer failed losing it structure.

I put that down to the basic problem of the layers sliding apart as in composites.

Hence the name graphene girders, holding it together which is few layer graphene.

So I take it the need for Gnanomat is quality few layer gnps for among other things the recharging cycle. Then Gnano have an effective metal oxide process.

Whatever it is Zap and Go seem to
like it.

We’ll have to wait and see if the large other company likes it.

Car-to-car jump-start facilities are apparently not on the agenda for ordinary electric cars (equipping every car with converters etc too expensive and space-consuming for such rare use). But ..

Anyone here who thinks running out of EV juice is a serious problem, could always set themselves up in business by equipping themselves with an emergency recharge truck. Or even franchising a nationwide fleet of them perhaps?

EDIT: Any such new standalone business specific to EVs would have to compete with whatever the RAC and AA end up offering:

The science direct paper was interesting

Worth noting that 2% wt of graphene was used which is high (therefore expensive). Also that gains were marginal

Young's modulus 8%
UTS 9%
90% Young's 1%
90% UTS 4%

Perhaps most surprising was the platelet lateral dimensions size was 5um-10um and the paper suggested <5um sizes were not effective. We know from the Nanene spec sheet that min lateral size is now 0.1um and no average given. The graphene from 2D-Tech used was not named as Nanene but the graphene used was "XT Graphene" which I can't find a spec for.

I note XT Graphene was mentioned some years ago in a study in Oct 2016 was this the same or very similar work?

There has been talk about Raman spectroscopy.

Analyse all the forms of carbon

Renishaw's Raman systems are being used to research, develop, and control the quality of carbon materials. You can determine:
•the number of graphene layers, and their defects, doping and strain

Ages ago Neill mentioned on Twitter about the difficulty in getting all the platelets to behave themselves and line up correctly. In this paper it talks about that exact thing. Maybe this is one of the things that VRS have accomplished that the others can't do?

Opening para of Scottish Mortgage interim statement out this morning worth reading. If VRS shareholders can be patient we should all do well.

Investment Approach

The Managers have not changed their investment approach. If a company, public or private, has the potential to grow substantially over the next 5 to 10 years, then it is a good place to start looking for long term value creation for shareholders. Over this timeframe and beyond, equity investment returns are primarily driven by just a very few, extraordinary companies. There is a real asymmetry to the possible returns from investing in such businesses, as the potential upside is significantly larger than the possible risk to the capital invested. The Managers are focused on trying to find and own these outliers on behalf of Scottish Mortgage's shareholders.

The discipline to focus on your core skill set where you might be able to have a competitive advantage matters in investment, just as it does for the portfolio's businesses. The Managers believe it is much easier to search for the potential for value creation within companies which are capitalising on relatively predictable long run structural trends, than to divine the movement of equity markets in the near term. For these reasons, they focus on their task and do not also try to decipher the intervening path of their portfolio companies' share prices. The value of Scottish Mortgage's shares will therefore be subject to the same vagaries of short term markets as those of the portfolio's own companies. This means that Scottish Mortgage is best suited to those who share the Managers' long term approach to investing.

I have to fess up that I own SMT, EWI and PHI in my SIPP. DYOR etc.
