Probably the best post of the day LO - good on you! PS That reminds me, must call the chimney sweep - all ready to fire up the woodburner and pop on a little bright glowing apple for when the winter comes.

O/T

It is a wonderful world we live in , sat on a bench in the afternoon sun looking at a flower border felt good.

Went for a CT scan , never done that before , it was interesting an adventure into physics and history, Marie Curie did a lot for the world and amazing the progression since, whatever next?

Finally , was reluctant to but put a piece of spalted hazel on the fire, lovely patterns on it and was wondering if a woodturner would be tutting at me , the patterns on it were amazing .

P.s. nothing wrong with me and not on drink or drugs just appreciate the small and big things in life.

Indeed, and thus the facts of the general market have changed, unfortunately just after the gnano placing, causing increased volatility; but the counter view - is fortunately in the sense a good price for the shares was got away with less dilution. And we have a next gen 2D disruptive battery tech on board. Looking fwd to those collabs due course ! Aimo. Anyway, back to gardeners world ! Best ellis

I am getting so so bored with the XG and FGR stuff, if they want to do the high volume low profit stuff let them, it is of no consequence and a totally different market to the one VRS is firmly aimed at.

Early on with the inception of the first bb on here by superg there were three of them going through the specifications on any company name producing graphene that came up.

I personally came to the conclusion that Thomas Swann was the nearest competitor but not so apparently with their 'smashed' platelets and VRS took all the prizes on the CPI tender.

During that time I did learn that Aussie companies are on the whole full of b/s and not just graphene ones!

Italian companies seem to sell to Italian companies whatever the specification may be and surprisingly China with all of its huge resources just cannot crack it.

Thanks you three , you know who you are. That was some time ago, anyway VRS ticked all of the boxes then and even more so now, unbelievable how far they have advanced in the last twelve months even.

No orders over a kilo since McClaren but I will assume that there are many below that quantity otherwise I can't see a need to be able to produce 3 tonne p/a just for collaborations , VRS can and they have the knowledge to make that decision.

Most of the reason for the drop is PI's trading it as well as the Primary Bid placing. Got no complaints about the placing , it could have been a lot worse if left to the spivs. But what I have learned with PB is think Darwin and that is what attracts the shorters.

Got no problem with shorting per se but do object to the verbalisation and unfounded comments that are intended to scare people. In a few weeks none of this will matter but for goodness sake stop engaging in the endless regurgitated b/s that is spouted.

The general market is down and many many shares are experiencing a drop, all of the theories that it is shorters is nonsense and unfortunately some previously 'long term holders' were no such thing. However, as stated by some , "we have been here before" they are the real long term holders.

So where are the real RNS able orders , well, they will come it's just a matter of time, but apart from that there are probably hundreds of orders that we are not aware of and I seem to remember NR saying as much.

As with all of the 'crashes' it will recover and probably do similar in six months time and six months after that, so ad infinitum. Riding the waves ain't so bad it makes you feel alive 😊🌞🎅

As frustrating as everyone finds the negativity around the short posts it is equally nauseating to hear from the rampers and the NR is the messiah rhetoric! Please go back and read some the nonsense posted around the shareholders meeting. At present NR is in control of a company that is at the forefront of what will no doubt be a wonder product. Despite the massive potential the reality of the time that each collaboration will take has resulted in the sell off. No news is not good news in what will be a massively competitive market.

I can't see this being hedge fund fodder yet and certainly not unless there is a significant short position notified. Usually the short positions will build up gradually until they have enough stock to hammer the price down often with a spurious report. I think it is more likely a fund selling out,bad market conditions, individual shorters taking advantage and a build up of impatience from holders putting pressure on their nerves.let's see what happens on Monday.

NR needs to keep the retail punters happy as they are the ones that stump up the cash when VRS needs it via PB. If they are as busy as he keeps saying why does he spend so much time tweeting and doing podcasts?

In July Neill stated on Vox Markets podcast that throughout August the Graphene Council would be running tests.
I would imagine the results will be published soon ? At least on initial testing ?
He did not say how long the testing would go on for , but rather just throughout August.
News soon ? Anyone hearing anything after the trip to the US ?

Some of you guys on here this evening need to catch yourselves on, to suggest NR HAS to deliver a deal/multiple deals within the next few months otherwise you will consider your position is frankly ridiculous! NR Is his own man, he will do what’s right for business looking at the long term. That sort of comment is not helpful at all. HMG has seen fit to use VRS as it’s poster boy also threw millions to establish a Graphene industry, I could go on only I’m only working....

Lots of talk around impact of shorters on this site lately. The truth is companies which have had a 10 fold increase peak to trough have to show more revenue growth/sales than Versarien have. I did manage to get out a little while ago. Generally I am very sceptical of companies which have an engineering focus. Quite often they seem to be sidetracked by developing their technology rather than focusing on the key drivers or sales / revenue. NR's insistence on continuing to develop multiple collaborations without bringing home any to date is the main reason for the recent sell off. Of course there could be multiple wins in the future but patience is wearing thin and even if there is good news for one of the many collaborations I doubt if this will see the sort of bounce we were all hoping for a few months ago. I would love to buy again but sense that unless there is some news before Christmas there will be an opportunity at sub £1I really hope VRS will not simply be a great company at developing the market but lack the skill to take full commercial advantage.

Agreed, this share is nothing like iqe. And neill usually does well on twitter, by turning a negative into a positive. Waiting for delivery of 3 tonne machinery capacity in dec and geic opening; they've been ordered for a reason i imagine ! Aimo. Best ellis.

There is absolutely nothing that has come out from the company to suggest that there is anything wrong at all (and you are playing into the shorters hands by even suggesting such a thing!).

They have had far too much attention this week!

Neill understands the situation VERY well. He will relish landing a bombshell RNS... I personally think all this 'noise' will make him even more determined to do just that....

He is in a position to use 'conversation' with them to feed us info telling us that we are on track so I think he is doing the right thing by responding to them.... we aren't... our responses are feeding them and probably helping them to scare a few pi's out which isn't helping.

Tomorrow is a new day.... let's make a pact not to respond or comment on anything they say....

F3rdinand - the best way to deal with the shorters is to deliver a large order from a collab partner and/or a stonking China deal and burn them to a crisp - but of course delivery of that is out of VRS's hands. Surely it must be close though - another 3 or 6 months of this, with no large orders and no China, and I'll start to think maybe the shorters are right, and there's something very wrong with VRS's business and/or pricing model...

I presume you are referring to the myth that the Americans thought they were buying Tower Bridge when in fact they bought London Bridge? It is exactly that, a myth - if you did even the slightest bit of research you would come to the same conclusion. But I guess your game isn't research. Enjoy your weekend.
