18/10/2018 16:42 | mryl - well 2 calendar months from the AGM is 25th November, so let's see what, if anything, happens by then. Personally if it happens before Christmas I'll be amazed and delighted. | ![]() club sandwich
18/10/2018 16:38 | par4artthou, don't believe anyone, take arguments from both sides and then dyor :) I personnally try not to ramp the company based on emotions but I am genuinely positive based on the facts. Not involving emotions is difficult because this company is very easy to like. I do also take into account the extremely positive vibes we get from Neill and MattWalker. I must admit I have also bought more recently because of superg ramping the China deal after the AGM saying it would probably happen within 2 months if I recall... Like other people (hi ClubS), I am waiting to see if it was indeed based on knowledge/research or just baseless ramping. If it was the former I'll say thank you, if it was the latter I'll be pretty mad at him. But ultimately nobody's forcing anybody to buy or sell so I'll either congratulate or hate myself. | ![]() mryl
18/10/2018 16:34 | ashehzi and par4artthou, thanks for IG feedback Regarding collabs, I never expected quick conversions as any new technology involves a whole load of NEW work. Companies do not have dormant teams of skilled people ready to work on a new technology. Everyone will be busy busy doing the day job. In the early days new stuff has to be shoe-horned alongside current projects. No doubt, once the testing has been successful, operational trials with a budget to match will be scheduled. I am sure there have already been some Eureka moments (re NR's comments today), but even Archimedes probably had to finalise his latest invention before working on water displacement. More patience is needed imho | ![]() richie32

18/10/2018 16:25 | Verger, well Neill said again today that all collaborations are ongoing and none have failed. I don't think he can say much more than that though. Then on the timeline from testing to order, there's not much he can do, that's entirely up to the collaborators I guess. | ![]() mryl

18/10/2018 16:15 | Yes, mryl. I am happy to wait for the good news. It will come. But for those who are impatient (and I am not one of them) I wondered what VRS's own advice to them would be as to what to expect by way of interim progress reports. Maybe that is too much to expect. | ![]() verger

18/10/2018 16:02 | Huawei's new Mate 20 X uses graphene film cooling technology The Sixth Element unveils graphene-enhanced tyres The Sixth Element opens a European office, we talk with its new sales director The Sixth Element presents its graphene-zinc anti-corrosion primer The Sixth Element and Daopeng unveil new graphene-based anti-corrosion coatings Garmor increases its graphene-oxide production machine capacity to 20 tons per year Rumors suggest that Huawei's Honor Magic 2 will use a graphene-based battery china is not hanging around, vrs are hanging around for china to sign of the non law binding letter of intent ! Separately, Zenyatta will also be working with UBC on a graphene oxide fuel additive. Research has found that graphene oxide can improve fuel economy by 7.5%, and potentially reduce emissions by 8% while increasing power by 10%. Dr. Sina Kheirkhah, the lead researcher for the fuel additive project, commented: “Graphene oxide is a carbon- and oxygen-rich nanomaterial which can potentially increase the combustion rate when added to jet fuel. Graphene-doping also has the potential to boost aircraft propulsive force and increase the power of land-based gas turbines”. Zenyatta Ventures to receive financial and technical assistance from the National Research Council Zenyatta Ventures to collaborate with Western University in a graphene-enhanced plastics project Zenyatta Ventures and Larisplast receive funding for collaborative project on concrete admixture containing Zenyatta’s nano‐graphite Zenyatta Ventures' graphite successfully turned into graphene oxide for sensing applications Zenyatta Ventures and Lakehead University announce scale-up of GO program Graphene Flagship research teams prepare to test graphene's potential for aerospace applications Fuel additive made of Graphene may help combustion engines be more efficient | ![]() dreamtwister

18/10/2018 15:47 | Edit: Verger, not Berger, it depends on the application, but mostly 2nd option I would say. Proper R&D testing, testing different %loadings, repeat of tests, plus you can affect so many properties at once when adding graphene that testing could effectively be taking longer than with other materials, then testing on the production line, cost analysis... Takes time. Can be relatively fast in small companies and painfully long in big multinationals where many departments. | ![]() mryl
18/10/2018 15:46 | Just listened to the podcast; neill measured, confident, with positive feedback from customers in testing who seem in awe of the 'wonder material' graphene as much as he is; and given the volume of affirmative research papers i've seen since viewing this BB, i am too ! And when justin, who seems equally enthused, raised china, neill listed the geographic reach of vrs; which included for the first time to my knowledge, singapore and japan ! An assured poddy. For me, it's a question of when not if ! All to play for here. Aimho. Dyor. Best ellis. Edit : i forgot to add: he mentioned electric vehicles again ! ;) glalth ! | ![]() ellissj
