Morning all, l think many seem to forget that Vrs is actually making money as Neill has said on several occasions that they get orders every day just not the very large orders that will take longer due to the complexities that the larger co,s take, (turning an oil tanker rather than a sailing dinghy) comes to mind.Like many l am 100% happy with progress and take any opportunity to top up at lower levels when l can, don't know when news drops but that will happen in fullness of company time not investor time, looking forward to a very interesting future. When speaking to Peter jay at agm and what he and fellow dit secondee have both said via Twitter they would both be happy to take up permanent positions with the company which is at cutting edge in its field.cheers have a good weekend all and see you at seven on Monday morning.

"Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state. The center of India's high-tech industry."

"Recent estimates of the economy of Bangalore's metropolitan area have ranged from $45 to $83 billion (PPP GDP), and have ranked it either fourth- or fifth-most productive metro area of India.[10][11][12][141]The value of city's exports totalling ͅ7;432 billion (US$6.0 billion) in 2004–05.[142]With an economic growth of 10.3%, Bangalore is the second fastest-growing major metropolis in India,[143] and is also the country's fourth largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market.[144] Forbesconsiders Bangalore one of "The Next Decade's Fastest-Growing Cities".[145] The city is the third largest hub for high-net-worth individuals and is home to over 10,000-dollar millionaires and about 60,000 super-rich people who have an investment surplus of ₹45 million (US$626,688) and ₹5 million(US$69,600) respectively.[146]

The headquarters of several public sector undertakings such as Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), National Aerospace Laboratories(NAL), Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL), Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML), Central Manufacturing Technology Institute (CMTI) and HMT (formerly Hindustan Machine Tools) are located in Bangalore. In June 1972 the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was established under the Department of Space and headquartered in the city. Bangalore also houses several research and development centres for many firms such as ABB, Airbus, Bosch, Boeing, GE, GM, Google, Liebherr-Aerospace, Microsoft, Mercedes-Benz, Nokia, Oracle, Philips, Shell, Toyota and Tyco.

Bangalore is called as the Silicon Valley of India because of the large number of information technology companies located in the city which contributed 33% of India's ₹1,442 billion (US$20 billion) IT exports in 2006–07.[147] Bangalore's IT industry is divided into three main clusters – Software Technology Parks of India (STPI); International Tech Park, Bangalore (ITPB); and Electronics City. UB City, the headquarters of the United Breweries Group, is a high-end commercial zone.[148] Infosys and Wipro, India's third and fourth largest software companies are headquartered in Bangalore, as are many of the global SEI-CMM Level 5 Companies.

The growth of IT has presented the city with unique challenges. Ideological clashes sometimes occur between the city's IT moguls, who demand an improvement in the city's infrastructure, and the state government, whose electoral base is primarily the people in rural Karnataka.[149] ;The encouragement of high-tech industry in Bangalore, for example, has not favoured local employment development, but has instead increased land values and forced out small enterprise.[150]The state has also resisted the massive investments required to reverse the rapid decline in city transport which has already begun to drive new and expanding businesses to other centres across India. Bangalore is a hub for biotechnology related industry in India and in the year 2005, around 47% of the 265 biotechnology companies in India were located here; including Biocon, India's largest biotechnology company.[151][152]"

Hey guys reader since July not posted before. Just wanted to thank the seasoned investors on here who take time out to share their experience with the rest of us. I've learned a boatload so far! I've fastened my seat belt for what could be a bumpy journey but let's face it graphene could touch every aspect of our modern lives, VRS is well placed to lead the charge LTH GLA #dontfeedthetrolls

Perspective is key, and adjusting expectations as the facts change. We can all say things in good faith at the time, but opinions shift in response to events that are often beyond our control. Clearly confidence in world markets have wobbled a tad, but they seem to have settled for now ? (and aim stocks always get hit harder in such circs.) The triggers were worries around US interest rate rises and IMF warning of a slow down in world economy, trade issues the chief culprit. Ie us/china. Plus brexit. Thus It's not the easiest conditions at the mo regarding investment decision making for firms. Hence, in response to this, i have focussed upon what the uk govt can do to stimulate demand for it's emerging 2D materials industry. With geic opening in dec, it should make 2D materials the '5th sector' in it's industrial strategy. imagine what the yanks, china, japan, germany would be doing now ! I shall be glued to the budget, hoping for good news ! In the meantime, full confidence in neill and co. He's self made and a winner. I'm optimistic the potential of this share will always outperform. Hopefully, good news soon. Have a good weekend. Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis

As you are 'new' to investing sonny, your focus has been on VRS but it is worthwhile looking into how other companies have operated.

I would suggest that you look at FUM (not going to mention PRG ... oops!) which has been a lifestyle company for the CEO there who has 'worked' at the very most probably two days a month and fleeced investors with not letting them know what is happening and at a hugely inflated salary and selling options on the market to pay for those little luxuries in life.

Alternatively you could look at team orientated companies that go over and above the norm in ensuring that their company is successful, you could look at one of festarios favourite GVC which set him on the road to riches or look at TESLA and all of the people knocking it and saying it can't / won't happen, well it has!

It is about the team and keeping them motivated, if they ain't committed then it is dead in the water.

NR cut his teeth in many in companies but I would suggest that he learned a lot about what to do and not to do in his time at Elektron EKT with Chris the CFO, that is the thing about engineering you learn about what does and doesn't work, if it doesn't work you look into the reason why. If it does work then you look into ways to improve it , fine tune it , move forward... read the recent Tesla tweet by NR.

When you explore the downside shares maybe you will come back with a different perspective, try it!

sonny, you really should sit back and learn instead of posting inane comments, there are people that know and people that don't, you are most firmly in the don't category at the moment.

The saying watch and learn comes to mind.

It seems an awful lot of PI's started selling in the 180's then.In hindsight, a good move for them, but it never works for me.That's what has been worrying me about just have retail punters on the shareholder register. Not enough institutional stability.Whatever happened to just buying some shares and holding them?

Yes Elliss I agree this is nothing like IQE they have both revenue and profit. Fingers crossed that collaborations will bear fruit. I bought the 20k I sold recently for 183p back for 131p today.

Sonny, you misunderstand part of what I said.I do believe that one fund is, or was, clearing out, and may indeed have gone.BUT... there is obviously another big seller, and I'm suspicious of who, and why.

The vibe here has totally changed. Irrational exuberance replaces with realism of no deals signed and little cash coming in.Iam now completely out at a small loss and won’t be interested until around 80p.

Agreed Festario, this mythical supply running out story has been going on for months, there's simply no backing for it bar speculation. Then there was the news in 1-2 weeks which didn't happen, latest is massive uk gov press release China deal soon...wish superg and others posting these things either wouldn't or would substantiate it, as several are left frustrated. Superg does provide a LOT of great info though too

Having said that, the share price isn't behaving like someone is accumulating. It was at 185p, the buys were non stop. We thought that supply was rapidly running out, but no.It's galling to think that the new investors and PI's are badly underwater here.Neill needs to be more judicious in his language and behaviour towards bears and shorters, seeing as there are too many examples of them making money!Like Alchemy and others, I've never been enamoured with that kind of behaviour from any CEO of a listed company.I also don't believe that many of those on Twitter are shorters, merely trolls, penniless ones...and Neill is wasting his time (and ours) on them.

Ellis, 3% usually, or 5% in other circumstances. But either way it doesn't matter, because Neill said that they wanted to stay just under the notifiable level. So, if they've bought more, then it should tip them over the threshold.

What I do notice amongst the recent carnage on this share, is the very large late reported buys which pop up after the price has been hammered down. They could be shorts taking the opportunity to close, which is fine.Or, they could be those supposed cornerstone investors, snapping up a bigger slice of the pie.If the latter is the case, I'd like them to obey the rules, as surely they must be notifiable by now.

We woodturners are often in such a quandary. When I'm stacking each load of logs we have delivered, it's "One for the stove, two for me, one for the stove, two for me." But then when taking logs from the stove heap indoors, towards the stove, there is often a further hesitant reassessment.. and a few more get set aside ;-)
