17/10/2018 14:41 | I didn't tweet it jointer! To be fair Neill replied to my question about it with "No been going for a while and these are major disruptive projects like new technology batteries etc" | ![]() pshevlin
17/10/2018 14:39 | If you think EVs are going to save the world Club, then I think you should give this a read - | occultusverum1
17/10/2018 14:36 | its happening now ! what do you think china and all the collabs are about....could come any minute. | ![]() jointer13
17/10/2018 14:34 | well apparently the climate change tipping point is in 12 years on current trends, so let's hope for all our sakes it's a damn sight quicker than 20 years! As a species we need to move to EVs and renewable energy sources NOW - and then start cleaning up the total mess we've made of this planet... | ![]() club sandwich
17/10/2018 14:30 | and here is something tweeted by Neill to lend a little perspective. Speaking for myself I can't wait 10 years or even 5 for some of this to happen. Vincenzo Palermo, Vice Director of @GrapheneCA: Time to market of disruptive technologies can take up to 20 years. The Flagship's mission is to translate graphene technology from lab to EU industries in 10 years | ![]() pshevlin
17/10/2018 14:20 | If a deal arrives, say tomorrow, I wouldn't like to be in shorters shoes because there won't be any escape from the burning hell. | ![]() fuji99
17/10/2018 14:18 | Agreed, got Ellis spamming articles and rnss from years ago, nothing relevant to VRS current position. Tried to filter but posts still appear, really annoying reading walls of text from 2004. Back to business, hope Neill's talk of Aecom is indicative of some progress | ![]() sonsonnyjim
17/10/2018 14:15 | re tyres. "The conductive graphene tire can make use of the conductivity of the graphene itself to keep the tire surface all the time, and continuously and reliably derive static electricity from the vehicle body to ensure driving safety. In addition, the strength of graphene, toughness characteristics applied to the tire can also greatly extend the service life of the tire. According to the company's test data, the use of graphene-guided electrostatic tires, wet braking distance can be shortened 1.82 meters. In addition, the tire mileage will increase 40%, rolling resistance decreased by 16.2%, saving 3.2%. In other words, with this one tire, a car's fuel consumption is 100 liters 10 liters, 50,000 kilometers fuel-efficient 268.8 liters, saving nearly 1,700 yuan of oil money." | ![]() jointer13
17/10/2018 14:13 | "I would really like to see some hard evidence sooner rather than later of us making some larger deals and actually being involved in the applications mentioned on this board." amen to that, brother. | ![]() club sandwich
17/10/2018 14:10 | It is great people posting all these possible uses of graphene but it is almost as much use as trying to figure out which companies would be the winners and losers after the discovery of oil. We have no idea if we will be the beneficiary. Granted that we are at the forefront of the technology but there are many obstacles ahead. It is obviously exciting for those who are participating in the research but we are just shareholders and bystanders and should not be getting carried away just by the possibilities. I wouldn't be invested here if I did not think on balance that VRS will be successful but it is best to keep a clear head. I have learned the hard way that it can be very expensive to fall in love with a stock and convince oneself that no matter what it cannot fail. I would really like to see some hard evidence sooner rather than later of us making some larger deals and actually being involved in the applications mentioned on this board. Maybe we will get that with results. Please do not think I am trying to talk this down as it is only a plea for more levelheadedness and less magical thinking.I am HEAVILY invested. | ![]() pshevlin
17/10/2018 14:03 | Just watched the heat loop pump video been tested in space. Producted tested at cambridge uni. I saw a pdf where graphene oxide was used in an earlier experiment. In this video from 2018, the loop being tested at cambridge has graphene ink in it ? Possible Graphinks ? Aimo. Ink is mentioned after 2:45 mins Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
17/10/2018 14:02 | Agree fuji, although a little stealth buying going on and wonder if it is a short closing softly softly. MM's making maximum use of the spread to encourage / discourage. | ![]() luckyorange

17/10/2018 13:47 | Yes get them standards sorted even if they are just own own!!!! State what they are now, let the rest use them as a 'standard' if they can !! @neillricketts ;-) | ![]() squire007
17/10/2018 13:32 | AnleyI believe it is Directa that is supplying their product for the cycle tyres. The product they supply as Graphene is not graphene. This is a good example of why ISO standards need to be launched ASAP before this kind of story spreads and puts people off using or buying graphene products | wr63

17/10/2018 13:17 | Just been looking affc21; looks like the loop heat pipe is coated with graphene oxide; not our stuff. But i did note re space flight graphene test at the time, possibly other graphenes such as vrs and/or other firms could have hitched a ride to conduct their own tests? Aimo.
