Grabster, your introduction to VRS, now on post 706 on the US graphene page is excellent. Key points all there but not so dense as to discourage newbies.

Might it be possible to add a direct link to the VRS website adjacent to where you've referred people to the RNS announcements on it?

Well done - initiative and action. Neill would be pleased with you!

Well done Grabster re Investorhub. You can download the iHub app which is very similar to its brother. Don't bother looking for VRS though - that's something called Verso. Still getting the hang of it

Someone an hour or two ago mention that the Thread Visitor flags above showed 571 US views of this thread (it was 565 at the weekend). Interesting to see if that changes much in the coming days.

Good idea Grabster - Cant think of anyone better to do it than yourself - Post a link to the site when you get going - Lets introduce ourselves to some more of our American cousins - I`m pretty sure re terminology used that there are one or two posting here already - Just a bit shy of flying the stars & stripes at the mo

The U.S. markets smashed it today, Netflix just completely smashed it in after hours. This is huge for the market technically.

Watch us not only recover our loses but smash to new highs 👍

Risk on across the market, sellers will disappear.

Indeed woody. The main aim of a tech firm is to stay in the top 3 of their sector, over other considerations. Which is probably why they chose to launch the AR app, staying ahead of the field. Aimo. Best ellis

Advfn has an American version of this site - called Investors Hub.

Anyone can join and post there, for an American audience. Versarien previously had no mention, so I've posted an intro on this existing nano board :

(See message 706 'GRAPHENE PROGRESS. Versarien is the real deal.) )

Feel free to post responses ;-)

(I am aware that my intro is incomplete - I wanted to get something posted tonight. I will update it in the coming days.)

Anyone fancy setting up a stock-specific Versarien thread there? I could do so if not. Feel free to copy and paste my intro if that helps get it started. (I shalln't be offended if you subsequently replace my text with your own. It would be good to get something rolling this week)

EDIT: I just posted what was meant as a follow-on message to my first one, but the format there confuses me! My second message (mentioning this UK thread here) appears as a new heading - and I forgot that the first 8 words of any post become its visible heading. So be aware of that if adding comments.
EDIT2: Seems the edit facility there only exists for 15 minutes after first posting - so I cannot improve my original message after all.

Today has to be one of the worst days for post quality on here, apart from the other day when the S.P was falling and Dim and painbow were spamming, but I can’t read what they post because they are filtered. I look forward to a new day tomorrow:)

Having had a rant at CS, like the shorters, his outbursts do give Neill an opportunity to impart snippets of info that we wouldn't otherwise hear and I just wonder if there is something here that I and possibly others missed...

Again you talk like we have never had an order, we get orders every day they just aren't bigger than we have done before. AECOM is an example, other collabs spreading within organisations. We aren't shipping boxes here.Nothing would make the city happier than measuring us on PE

"AECOM is an example, other collabs spreading within organisations." - is Neill telling us here that the initial interest and resulting tests have sparked other interest from other arms of the company... maybe this is why some of the collabs are taking 'so long' to 'bear fruit'... the deals are just getting bigger?

Also think the final sentence "Nothing would make the city happier than measuring us on PE" is quite telling... I don't think Neill wants to divulge too much info at the moment.. he knows that there are plenty in the city who will happily dis the bottom line (this isn't America where they value tech start-ups and encourage growth). Neill knows, I think, that this company's value will way surpass any figure that an analyst would currently put on it, so why leave himself open to that sort of scrutiny at this point in time?

Tweet re poombear n neill convo re huawei fone launch with 'graphene film cooling system.' Neill has asked poom for link. Here's my take fwiw !

Here's the phone launch referring to graphene film;

"The phone is also one of the best performing smartphones on the market thanks to the new Kirin 980 which is paired with 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage and a new cooling system that’s made up of a large vapor chamber and Graphene Film cooling system. While we’ve seen a few smartphones with vapor chamber cooling systems hit the market this year already, the Huawei Mate 20 X is the world’s first device to use a Graphene Film which has 2.8 times better thermal conductivity than copper."

This research article from a swedish firm says they use 'graphene oxide' which gives greater performance than 'graphite film' which is being used in mobiles etc;

"Today, graphite films, which are practically useful for heat dissipation and spreading in mobile phones and other power devices, have a thermal conductivity of up to 1950 W/mK". ........"The manufacturing method of the graphene film is based on simultaneous graphene oxide film formation and reduction, on aluminum substrate, dry-bubbling film separation, followed by high-temperature treatment as well as mechanical pressing. These conditions enable the formation of the graphene film with large grain size, good atomic alignment, thin-film structure, and low interlayer binding energy. All these features have great benefit for the transfer of both high-frequency diffusive phonons and low-frequency ballistic phonons, and thereby lead to the improvement of in-plane thermal conductivity of the graphene film"

It's likely the huawei fone film is 'graphite film' or 'graphene oxide' film. Either way, another product launch that raises the profile of 'graphene' amongst consumers, which is free PR for when iso standards arrive and actual graphene becomes distinguishable from graphite. Aimo. Best ellis

Given the Warwick Manufacturing Group/ Ford connection - It must be assumed that Ford are VRS aware? - Certainly I would hope that WMG are helping put the VRS hat in the Graphene ring - If not & I was Neil, I would be severely disappointed that a close collaboree was so remiss - In business, virtuous circles are formed of trusted, competent and reliable partners - To mutual financial advantage & a continued relationship

if i was of the Twitterati kind - I would certainly raise the WMG/Ford angle & ask the question - Ford seem good to go on the lightweighting front - Too good an opportunity not to pursue IMHO
