23/9/2018 09:57 | I will give Rickerts one thing. He is a master of confusing shorters which is a very good thing instead of leaving them with an open playing field. If one takes the raise as negative and you had enough powder to take temporary control and short you just would not want too because you have no idea whats going to come next on Monday and Tuesday. In that regard he played it perfectly i think IMHO. Unlikle my other Wales compadres giving the shorter a blank drawing broad | thecrunk
23/9/2018 09:57 | "The medal from Dominic [Parsons] was very special, not only because it was the first male medal we had won in many years at the Olympics but it also was a great push for the rest of the team and the two girls." That's Dominic Parsons - user of a sled enhanced with graphene supplied by Versarien of course. | ![]() grabster
23/9/2018 09:53 | 'I expect the share price to rise sharply tomorrow.' ......£4.35 - who is the Patron Saint of shares:) | anotherdrink
23/9/2018 09:47 | Raising finance through placings to run the business is always a strain on the share price but this raise was to buy a majority stake in a high tech complimentary business. I expect the share price to rise sharply tomorrow. | ![]() dgduncan
23/9/2018 09:47 | So we have now entered probably the most competitive technology market in the world at the moment. With literally billions of pounds being spent on research into the energy storage market. We have spent £2.9 million. Are we going to succeed? I am sure the analogy of cambridge 2D will be stated, of how we have succeeded in commercialising (hopefully still) GNPs in the face of massive competition to become a world leader for literally peanuts. But I think a lot of that maybe came down to the fact of first mover and that a lot of the competition didn't realise the potential market of GNPs and most were chasing the pure graphene single atom holy grail. Congratulations to NR for spotting the opportunity But to me this is even more of a challenge. At the moment the management as we are told in their own words are working flat out already. I am sure this investment is going to take up a lot of management time and effort. Is the Spanish management good enough? Again the producing, testing, marketing and sales routes to markets are all going to cost money. I cannot imagine in this very crowded market place it is going to be that easy to get noticed and used, when there are already many incumbents and companies (eg Zap and go and thats a minnow) claiming to have the latest and best products. Even Dyson have many competing in house solutions, and although maybe not the absolute best, but good enough, may not want to switch from in house with larger profits to the premier product with less profit margins. This may also apply to phone manufacturers, where a minute or so extra time may not matter. possibly more chance with cars where time does matter, but is our product that much better. Or does Neill already have an end user market in play, who are waiting for this product. (it wouldn't surpise me) As one poster put it earlier, this is no longer other people taking the risks and us just supplying the graphene, it is us taking the risks, with not a lot of money to play with. I hope Neill will address some of these points in his podcast. In the meantime I hope there is a bear squeeze over the next couple of days, meaning this share could possibly spike, before it settles back. Good luck all. Gutted can't make the AGM as holiday was booked already for the 25/09/18. So will be in the air when probable AGM RNS comes out Tuesday morning. Look forward to the comprehensive notes hopefully from the meeting. And to finish it in annoying style. Best Luckykids | ![]() luckykids
23/9/2018 09:44 | With all this abundant 'exuberant' positivity (word coming up spellcheck but not sure) I'm upping my price to sell to £4.35 and not a tuppence less - after all, with it coming to Christmas time -“Tuppence is tuppence”:) | anotherdrink

23/9/2018 09:29 | The best strategy here has been to buy and hold. If you trade shares you tend to become pre-occupied at looking at the daily movements and your paper p&l. It wastes a lot of your mental energy when really it would be better used researching another company or doing something totally unconnected to finance. To trade shares professionally(and make money) you need some pretty good disciplines and information sources in place. That's why on IG Index they quote 79% of customers (mainly traders) lose money. Anyway apart from the obvious(the acquisition) what is probably more important from a shareholder point of view is that NR confirmed they are producing decent amounts of graphene for customers. | ![]() chillpill
23/9/2018 09:24 | This time tomorrow we will know what market thinks. If you are invested long term it doesn’t really matter . It’s just another small part of a very big plan. I am expecting other news tomorrow or Tuesday . Perhaps what Neill was doing a couple of weeks ago in Wales. Or something from America. Time will tell . Just put GL1 3AX into SAT Nav getting quiet excited | graphite bot
23/9/2018 09:19 | psx - I wondered about this. Having given it thought I don't think it is too good to be true. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Gnanomat approached Neill. Neill knows that only VRS have the quality of graphene that is needed so he is very comfortably in the driving seat. He could easily turn round and say' whoever we choose to team up with, if done on an exclusive basis, will be the only company able to produce these batteries'. Would you haggle too much if you were Gnanomat and given that option...? I think the reason they didn't just accept shares in VRS is that they need the £3m for the scale up and Neill knew he would easily be able to raise this money. So he said, I'll bring the graphene and the cash needed but I want more than half of the company.... | ![]() woodpeckers

23/9/2018 09:13 | James Dyson writing of £46m wasted on a US solid state battery company he bought - and now allocating £1000mn to alternative battery development in-house. Makes this dirt cheap little Spanish purchase seem worth a £3m punt by Versarien if it truly has something special. Hope it does. So much demand - so much money to be made extremely quickly if/when someone gets it right. But I am trusting that the Gnanomat deal is more than a mere punt and will make money even if it captures a tiny fraction of an eager market. | ![]() grabster

23/9/2018 07:53 | It is the model they have employed psx, they only way to know is to listen to what NR tells us. Turn it on its head and it is probably a life saver for Gnanomat who are grateful for the support to take the next step? | ![]() luckyorange
23/9/2018 07:44 | The old Trout (ToT) raises a good point over on Ii re: 'only' £2.9m being raised for buying into a majority stake in Gnanomat seems too good to be true!......Here's ToTs full post....."I agree that the deal is potentially immense dkok and I have been harbouring a desire to invest is a smart battery company for a while so this kills two birds with one stone. The only reservation I have is that the price seems to be too good to be true, so it would not surprise me to learn that the cash is largely for the expansion and that shares in VRS will be issued to the target company to complete the deal. If so we can but hope that there is a long lock in period and/or they take the same approach as Cambridge Graphene and 2D Tech i.e. we are here for the very long term.No doubt we will know a lot more by Tuesday afternoon, if not before.".....any comments guys? | psxtalks2u
22/9/2018 22:52 | Superg, Thanks for that and here's hoping it will stand him in good stead for life's future challenges, both mentally and physically. Being able to hold his own one day against the upper dan holders would be an extra bonus. Might have to sell a few VRS shares to get to that point though! | ![]() senden11
