It sounds like a very exciting acquisition and I'm all for aggressive growth by any means. Shame the company didn't take shares in payment though but maybe they needed ready cash. I trust in Neill.

There are numerous companies claiming to be on the brink of producing a new generation of fast-charge batteries and/or supercapacitors (Zap&Go amongst them .. What will they make of this deal, or are they in on it??). Many of them will fail to measure up to the expectations they boast. I hope this one really can deliver. At least we know that - unlike several others - they are working with quality graphene.

No offer to existing holders to buy more & escape dilution

Some investors have to knock off at 4.30pm for childcare duties etc

A lot of us are all in already & would need time to find extra cash

Not many details on the acquisition in the rns

This seems to have been put together earlier this week at a time of so weakness caused by Miton getting out - reminded of Gordon brown selling off all our gold while it was low - no doubt soon we will find the fundraiser was matched by iis - i.e. Miton.

I don't doubt this is probably a great move and Neill &c has done dd, plus it reduces Brexit risk as £ssy have done with subsidiaries, but frankly I am really unhappy with *how* this has been done.

Mainly I'm kicking myself for not keeping £10k back, should have realised 'no fundraiser unless...' meant 'definitely going to be a fund raise'

So 2M shares added to 146M in circulation, i.e. <2% dilution, but can be bought at an 18% discount ?

The problem I have with this, and it's just my initial reaction before I've thought it through....Apart from the dilution, which I never like, we've not yet seen the benefits of the last placing, back in Nov 2017, which was supposedly for a 'bloody good reason'That was for additional machinery to produce more Nanene, but we've seen no orders.Then, we supposedly ordered machinery to cope with up to 3T production, but we still haven't seen an order to underpin any of that.I think we are overdue a somewhat more positive and progressive announcement than this.

The 5pm Sunday deadline is unlikely to come into play - these will likely be snapped up within the next hour I would guess.

I have a Primary Bid account via Jarvis - but sadly have zero cash available to buy - othewise I would have done so before posting this ;-)

Rheum, you can't. Been there for the previous Primary Bid raise. Once the shares become available in your trading account you will need to then Bed&ISA them.

I'm sure they could have got an insti to take them, I think this is Neill's way of giving private investors an equal chance to obtain discounted shares (albeit not that much of a discount).
