rheumking - for a good talk through of investment strategy, what to look for, what to do /not to do etc suggest any of The Naked Trader books by Robbie Burns, latest Invest like a Shark. Style is conversational and informative. Also suggest a visit to his website. Not got the link to hand but easy enough to find.

I take dreamy 30k statement as another lie. Dreamy hasn't stoped de ramping VRS since the 60s where he (aparently) closed out. If that was true then surely he would have been pumping the share while he was no longer short to make the best of his wife's long position and to give him a better entry point. I hear Dreamy is the leader of his schools fantasy traders club.

What a horrible man. Who shorts a company but yet is willing to spend 30k of their wife's money to go long on the same company. Sounds like you were happy to try to make money shorting the company for your own benefit and willing to risk losing your wife's money in the same process. I considered you a bit of a Walter Mitty tolling character but now its clear you're something of an altogether more distasteful character. There are probably splinters in your backside from dragging yourself around the bottom of the barrel. Proved as a liar time and time again, and quite possibly guilty of other things if your wife hasn't given you permission to 'trade' her net worth.

Guys, I read and understand city doesn't follow much on Graphene related companies.

I know VRS used to be covered till Jul 2014 but why not after that?

Rheumking - IMO it's not about "stock market dealing", that's easy. A multiplicity of competitively priced platforms can be used to buy and sell. What matters is being (and staying) well-informed. Jim Slater's "The Zulu Principle" advanced the idea that the best investment decisions are based on the greater depth of understanding what you are investing in. Superg1 reminds us of this on a regular basis. The Internet makes it much easier to dig for information than ever before. Don't throw darts at the financial pages of the FT. Don't take advice from anyone. DYOR and go deep. If you're lucky you will find a gem before the herd gets onto it. I was tipped to have a look at VRS by someone 18 months ago but I didn't just take his word for it.

Question for my fellow VRS family – What book would you recommend as an introduction to stock market dealing or Face to face course – not one of those rip-off American style things that jumped up at top of the Google search
I am interested because my brother who does a pretty low paid job has just started trading six months ago and has done okay but has a rather amateur approach – he is a big ( for him) VRS holder. I wanted him to have a more focused approach and understanding of trading styles etc so he doesn’t lose all his money. Any tips gratefully received

I think it's just a few profit takers today, otherwise I'm sure the fund would be happy to sell bigger chunks down to 150p or just under.

Hello Fest and anyone else using broker Interactive investor (GB)

My question to them about nominee accounts was answered thus:

In reply to your query, we safely hold your shares on our online
platform but they are under your name and are within your individual nominee
account so no one else can access those shares but yourself.

P.S. Fest, I PM'd you this info as well.
