Think Superg is playing golf. His original £1.50 target is swallowed , achieved , attained. Fantasise , based on logic, and philosophy of course for the benefit of a slightly late arrival as to where we might go.I really really think a billion marcap £6 or so pounds is a minimum but as Shakespeare or Bacon said. Wtfdik? Maybe that was Marlowe. CAN WE fail to make £6 ? Discuss.

I've just started Reality Is Not What It Seems by Carlo Rovelli, about the search for quantum gravity. Still only on the early chapters, but they're about how ancient greek philosophy came up with many of the ideas and concepts underpinning scientific discovery almost two millennia later...

club...couldn't agree more. I long since gave up party affiliations as pragmatism seems to be missing from the whole debate in this country. I blame education even though I was a practitioner . The one subject that seems to be (deliberately) left out of the curriculum over here is Philosophy. Hence students have no ground on which to build their ideas and are excellent fodder for the public school chaps who have studied PPI at Oxford. (A bluffers charter). Oh, and citizenship as well so that no-one understands how the ( unwritten) constitution operates. The martyrs of Peterloo (largely autodidacts) will be turning in their graves.

I propose we move Brexit out of this guys?Well just after one or two points.The main purpose Jannet and Schumann had was to prevent Prussia-France having a fourth war. That was achieved by the mid fifties with the iron and steel federation.Europe's biggest problem imho is the Euro.....guess which major country isn't in it.VRS is great, it had IPR on wood and owns all the forests but will sub let to Lumberjacks to process and add value for a fee.

Exactly! Says it all really - I had forgotten that I was on Clubbie's filter list but not surprising as he doesn't like anybody disagreeing with his deluded idea of the world, but shame that shelvin appears to be in the clubbie cheerleader club but I do recall reading that he/she has European roots, as I do, but clearly didn't like my fact about Merkel running the show. He ho, each to their own but I am fed up of reading clubbies constant negative rants about the UK and the government in particular, whilst at the same time benefiting from what the UK government is doing to enhance his own personal wealth. He's a self deluded hypocrite.

Just looked at the Great Britain campaign website and agree that the UK will need all the help it can get post 2019 but it really does have a whiff of the Buy British campaign of the 60's which was an abject failure because we couldn't find anything to buy that was any good. Looking at the companies involved, Aston Martin, Burberry, McLaren etc they are all so high end that they will have no problems selling to any country after Brexit but have little relevance to ordinary citizens and will provide few jobs. As to ambassadors...Katherine Jenkins (second rate soprano who would not get a platform in Europe)...Ken Hom..he of the Wok and Hugh bonneville...because of Downton Abbey. I'm not inspired. Versarian seems to be the best of the lot.
