A midday RNS would hit the traders. Pity we haven't had a few as that would be a deterrence

Thanks Woody.

"Exporting is GREAT'? Really? I know the name is set by gov and has nothing to do with VRS, but is that really the best they (the gov) could come up with? They might as well have called it "Exporting is GREAT, kids" and had done with it.

Was there ever a more hapless or clueless government than this? However, the most incompetent people occasionally get something right, and for this bunch of clowns it looks like it was backing Versarien...

Sounds like that campaign should get us a bit more exposure! :-)

I also think that investors have started to wait until the afternoon to buy because they know the share price will have dropped by then. Makes sense if you are buying in as long as there is no RNS.

Versarien plc

("Versarien" or the "Company")

Versarien joins "Exporting is GREAT Campaign"

Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce a further partnership with the Department for International Trade (DIT), by becoming an official "Export Champion", in order to help promote the UK Government's "Exporting is GREAT" campaign. The overall aim of the campaign is to create a movement that inspires more UK companies to sell overseas, in line with the UK Government's stated policies to encourage exports.

Given Versarien's current export success through its variety of international collaborations and future exporting and outward direct investment (ODI) strategy, Versarien now joins select companies from across the UK offering their expertise and advice to inspire companies to export and support existing exporters looking to expand into new markets.

Versarien will now be able to officially use the "Exporting is GREAT" logo and Versarien's ODI story will be used by the DIT, where appropriate, with the objective being to spread the DIT's message "If we can, you can". Further information on the campaign may be found at

eill Ricketts, CEO of Versarien, commented: "We feel honoured to have been chosen as an Export Champion partner of the Department for International Trade, especially with regards to supporting the UK's Exporting is GREAT campaign.

"We look forward to supporting the Exporting is GREAT campaign given our own exporting and overseas expansion strategy, and for the continued support to Versarien from the DIT."

It seems like every day there's no RNS the MMs drop the price to try and flush/panic out some sellers, then raise it again at the end of the day. Well they're not getting mine, tho I may have to let a few thousand go at year-end (calendar year-end or financial, depending on how I can shuffle money around)...

Interesting to note some people here predicting doom for IQE, some who should know better, but the future is bright for IQE, 90% of one of the hottest markets in the tech world and about to be tied into 5G going forward. The shorts had their fun and it was overvalued at £1.80, however with a forward PE of 20 it’s no longer the case. I dislike discussing other companies that don’t market relate on other boards but people here, who haven’t done as much research as they have done on VRS seem to keep bringing it up ;)

Also a good case study for what can happen to a share price when the shorts mount a decent campaign with volume (11% on IQE). I am long both shares but won’t be surprised to see the slippery w@nker shorts casting their eyes over here before too long. Tim Kempster and his buddies are small time it’s not them we need to worry about.

Last week I received an email form a friend stating that she was abroad and needed money for a hospital bill. The email did not read correctly, it just did not seem to be how she would write. The email went to everyone in her email account, well over 100 people.
After investigations the source of the email was in Saudi Arabia.

My favourite came on the stationery of the NSA (Nigerian Space Administration). They had sent their star astronaut up to their space station, but alas they ran out of funds to retrieve him and after 3 months in space they were looking for contributions for a rescue mission. This is of relevance to us because graphene has been tested in space conditions I believe so no one can accuse me of going off-piste.

With apologies to all for further deviance from the graphene theme. I know we sometimes touch on other investments so I thought I'd share with you an email received a short while ago from someone called Shazib, who sounds a very nice chap and who has my best interests at heart:Dear,It's my pleasure to write you. I'm delighted to present to you this wonderful supply and business opportunity which will be of mutual benefit to us. My client was a commodity supplier to Captains of industry in Europe and America, unfortunately we lost him. Even-though gone, his business windows remain open and opportunities are sure for you to come in to replace him.He had no relatives known to us as he lived a better part of his life in Europe. I am the manager of his account where his business cash flow runs. Since his death, his account running over $4,300,000 remains untouched. The source of this deposit can be traced to supplies and business chain. However, there are goods worth over $310,000 which he didn't supply till his demise. We have reached out for his relatives to come forth but nobody has laid claim to his business empire. All his customers are worried, also the bank is at the verge of confiscating his account together with the funds in it since no one has come for claim, and this is where you come in. I want to present you to our bank as his relative and partner in business. Also, i shall introduce you to his market network so that you can take up the supplies and businesses. After due verification, the bank shall release his money to you from his account which is already dormant in the bank.Once this is achieved, i will then link you to his big clients to assume supply contracts in his stead. As for me, for every income earned from the supplies, i ask to be apportioned 40% of the net profit. In the same vein, when the bank releases the $4,300,000 to you, i will be entitled to 40% also. If you have any question regarding this, feel freeto ask and i wont hesitate to provide answers accordingly. I assure you that legal steps will be taken to ensure legitimacy in claim. Let me know what you think. I await your response.Best regards,Shazib
