29/8/2018 10:25 | I have a problem with many politicians of all persuasions, Club. The way you go on you suggests it's confined to just a certain party. | ![]() pandeck
29/8/2018 10:19 | elliss - oh, I'm absolutely with you on that. Not a doubt in my mind about VRS mgmt, just the politically-motivate | ![]() club sandwich
29/8/2018 10:17 | I'm backing Britain! (And SoftBank for an IQE bid at £2) | ![]() runthejoules
29/8/2018 10:13 | Congratulations neill and co. Great kudos and recognition. As ever, superb positioning. I've Faith in management here to execute plan. Aimo. Best ellis | ![]() ellissj
29/8/2018 10:13 | Richard I'm not sure who your posts about IQE are aimed at re negativity, done no research. I'm not negative about them but a few made some quite strong pump posts and IQE is far better than VRS type points. I popped over to have look and saw that some posters claimed they have had it pumped to them too EG a pump to get people buying IQE. The issue with IQE if you can call it that is revenue visibility. The bears have been attacking it. I say issue in the context of something for the market to look at and forecasts to be missed hit or exceeded. IQE has done well and should continue to do well. It's 25 years into its business and 18 or so on the AIM. I would hope in 15 years time we would have good visibility about graphene. The market and where VRS is. But if graphene valleys are to appear in various places in the coming few years then I don't expect the share price to be anywhere near £1.50. BTW the £1.80 you talk of on a 15 PE for IQE equates to £36 mill profit hence the PE sits higher which is typical and expected for growth stocks. | ![]() superg1
29/8/2018 10:12 | Government will be able to say success partly due to this campaign and will ensure publicity. i my opionion it will be worth the payoff as i would love to see VRS all over the News and in all the papers . perhaps thats why Neill had a photo shoot. | graphite bot
29/8/2018 10:10 | ...is this a precursor to an announcement that will be good for GREAT Britain 🇬🇧 | ![]() hattie1
29/8/2018 10:07 | So Peter Jay starts with a holiday. Nice. (pre-arranged, fair enough). The government is going to want the earliest possible evidence of the benefit Peter and Matt have brought to Versarien - they need something to boast of. The mere placement of them isn't going to look more than a gesture unless something very significant comes of it and quick. For the government to proudly use Versarien as an example of what can be achieved - Versarien needs to be boasting foreign orders, not just collaborations that are expected to possibly (probably) lead to orders. I am therefore inclined to believe that the government is privy to something more than what we already know, and there IS a sizeable foreign order being shortly announced - tying in with NR's "You don't know what I know" responses to doubters. | ![]() grabster
29/8/2018 10:05 | Spike "Clubby if you look at all the international graphics that this campaign uses, they almost always associate the wording directly with the Union Flag - it is a coherent strategy / marketing scheme." which tells you rather more about the outdated world-view of the Brexiteers than it does about the UK's current place in the world... | ![]() club sandwich
29/8/2018 10:02 | The 'Great' in Great Britain actually cane about from its position as the largest island in the British Isles. | ![]() investmentguru
29/8/2018 10:02 | Seems to have perked the buying up anyway. | ![]() clint fleecewood
29/8/2018 09:59 | ...well said Spike .. | ![]() hattie1
29/8/2018 09:58 | ...well you are a grumpy lot today .. another positive RNS showing the increasing HMG support for Versarien... | ![]() hattie1
29/8/2018 09:58 | I'm perfectly aware of the context of 'great' with regard to the geographical political references, but the campaign makes a play on the word 'great' which is perfectly valid for countries that recognise the references to great Britain. Edit: well said Cheek212 | ![]() spike_1
29/8/2018 09:54 | Wouldn't "Another GREAT BREXport" be a bit snappier? | ![]() verulamium
29/8/2018 09:53 | There's actually a political/geographic | ![]() investmentguru
29/8/2018 09:53 | The Great in Britain only refers to the size of the combined countries. Nothing to do with its status. No Deal.....soon to be no Great Britain.(or UK as we know it). Might take a while but it will happen. | ![]() pshevlin
29/8/2018 09:52 | Clubby if you look at all the international graphics that this campaign uses, they almost always associate the wording directly with the Union Flag - it is a coherent strategy / marketing scheme. | ![]() spike_1
29/8/2018 09:50 | Versarien plc (AIM: VRS), the advanced materials engineering group, is pleased to announce a further partnership with the Department for International Trade (DIT), by becoming an official "Export Champion", in order to help promote the UK Government's "Exporting is GREAT" campaign. The overall aim of the campaign is to create a movement that inspires more UK companies to sell overseas, in line with the UK Government's stated policies to encourage exports. Given Versarien's current export success through its variety of international collaborations and future exporting and outward direct investment (ODI) strategy, Versarien now joins select companies from across the UK offering their expertise and advice to inspire companies to export and support existing exporters looking to expand into new markets. | ![]() squire007
29/8/2018 09:49 | Spike - you may be right but that's not how I took it. And I think most places refer to us as 'the UK' these days, not by some imperialistic anachronism... | ![]() club sandwich
29/8/2018 09:48 | Club: the Great is a play on Great Britain. Words that are recognised world wide! | ![]() spike_1
29/8/2018 09:48 | Thought of course further evidence of the closening ties between VRS and the DIT are to be welcomed. That is a consummation most devoutly to be wished. | ![]() club sandwich
29/8/2018 09:46 | I think. VRS could have stayed aloof from strap line playtime. Could have, should have. | ![]() alchemy |
