Ellis - golden shares not allowed by EU. We’ll have to wait and see what the (almost certainly rubbish) Brexit deal Theresa May forces upon us to see if that changes things after March next year.

Than would be a very nice venue for an AGM, surely a tour thrown in if it is there.

If we multiplied the number of shares in existence by 10 and reduduced the share price by a factor of 10 what would have changed. I fail to see the significance of ‘only’ 150 million shares, for me it is the company, the SP, the availability and the demand for those shares.

The games played by the market is secondary to all of that for the LTHs.

Based on this afternoon's price action, I expect to see a significant late reported buy in the next 45 mins or so.

Just how special is the 'special relationship' between vrs and uk gov ? I know it's been mentioned before, but given a 2nd dit man on board, how likely is it the govt will take a golden share here ?

I believe Neill said in a tweet that the AGM would be in the new GEIC building also in the same tweet he didn't know the date (which we now know).

But isn't everything interlinked to some degree? Liquidity as we see daily ebbs and flows but to me the number of shares is highly important. I really do count my blessings that NR and team have done such a great job for us to reach where we are with such few shares in issue. The fiscal power of having such few shares in issue will show itself in due course - when people are chasing them in the future (hopefully) - we'll all be pleased that NR's kept dilution to the minimum he can get away with?

JV - liquidity is a factor but for PMs it does depend on the money they are managing. Miton held VRS in investment trusts, so would never have been under external pressure to sell except they got stuffed by a tender. Pension funds likewise, except they only have small allocations for growth as they need income.

Unit trust, OEIC managers have potentially daily liquidity issues so they will shy away from illiquid investments.

PMs who manage investment trusts and unit trusts with the same mandate (eg Alex Darwall - Jupiter European) nearly always have the IT performing better as they don’t have to manage the redemption and subscription flow.

Quite a few PIs move between TERN and VRS. Which one would you rather be in over the next few weeks? I reckon we will see some TERN punters come on over.

lovat scout - do you see the fact we have a relatively small number of shares, approx 150 million, as an issue? Does low liquidity and increasing demand tend to produce volatility in addition to upward pressure on the SP? In other words how do you value unobtainium?

Thank you John. At least I know that, if I am going nuts, I am not alone. LOL.

The other bugbear I have is this ridiculous expression 'inked' I assume meaning it was signed. Or does it mean someone smudged it with ink, or splashed ink on it, or what?

Who ever heard of Inked, Sealed and delivered?

Bootie64,

I'm in the med at present and on 'family' duties will comment on the speakers probably Sunday when we're back.

The new Graphene building was completed in May and ready to be kitted out. That would be a good place to have the AGM, it would make a statement to the world.

Willoicc, its just the way its been worded that is causing the confusion. If Product A reduces permeability from 100 to 90, thats a 10% improvement. If Product B reduces permeability from 100 to 50, thats a 50% improvement. However, Product B has shown a 400% improvement over Product A.

Just a thought, NR (the barsteward) re up that vote thingy re twitter.

Doomed from the start as does anyone here that knows me on these threads think it's possible for me to post using 140 characters or less.

EG shorter than the above sentences.
