JV. Answers to your questions are both related to what sort of life forms you want this earth to be able to sustain. If human, we better keep it in the 'goldilocks zone'. Earth did have more Co2 but that was before animals existed as they would not have been able to breath.

======
More Proof we weren't lying when we came up with our tagline "Zap&Go the ultra-fast charge" ⚡️ Next year, a cordless drill that charges in 15 SECONDS ONLY - using Zap&Go carbon-ion technology - will be in stores ⚡️ #FastCharging #EnergyStorage #Battery #ZapGo #CordlessTools #DIY

@ashehzi
Is it #Graphene or #Nanene enhanced?

Hi @ashehzi! We created our own technology: Zap&Go Nanocarbons

Just joined the party been busy this morning.

On a quick look it seems the real spread is 129p to 131p with someone picking up any of the smaller sellers just over the 129p mark.

So that fits with what Fest just posted.

Odd how the podcast has been booked, but we've not heard anything since? Would have thought today, has anybody seen anything to the contrary?

There are many good reasons to reduce our carbon emissions, and many other emissions, and if 2D solutions can help to produce a sustainable future so much the better.

The number of shareholders debate.

I stake that to mean the amount of individuals that are shown in their own name then all the various nominee accounts which equate to 300 in total

A nominee account can typically have 100's of shareholders in it. To get the full number VRS would have to do requests to those nominee accounts at which point they would be sent the full list of holders in that account.

If done it would amount to many 1000's of holders.

Good timing anley, showing how one of the benefits of graphene (graphite) could be lower co2 emissions in construction industry. Demand for such solutions will surely grow? Aimo. Best ellis

Jv. We either believe the science or we don't, which is a matter of opinion and therefore an honourable position. For governments however, given the severity of the warning, a prudent approach would be to plan for carbon emission reductions, because they should not ignore the risk climate change poses to their populations. At the very least rationally, in case the science is right. In my view, the resistance to climate change theory is politically ideological, a stalling tactic, believing market based solutions ie tech would eventually provide solutions to it, rather than say the other extreme, a united nations world government. And so my strategy is, that 2D materials are at this point, where they have the potential to provide tech solutions to climate change in the years to come. Therefore to me, my investment in vrs is part of this strategy and belief. We shall see ! Aimo. Dyor. Best ellis.

All commenters about global warming; I recommend two books to you 1) Heaven and Earth by Professor Ian Plimer and 2) Air Con by Ian Wishart. Both shoot down the argument re anthropogenic global warming.
Sorry for off topic.

Re anotherdrink: How crazy are football transfer fees? VRS' value is now bordering on that attached to Eden Hazard (£200m to deter Real Madrid)

Clearly we are missing a trick here! Surely we could persuade our extraordinarily talented CEO to play footy at week-ends instead of rugby.

I mean, imagine what that could do to our bottom line. And we could all follow the footy scores over the week-end to make up for the market being closed.

Italian bridge collapse - Graphene set in concrete to improve strength and structural integrity for critical supports

Pictures of the bridge appear to show significant decay to the underside of the bridge
Italian and European regulators are likely to consider the composition of the steel rebar and cement and the resultant concrete.
Increasing the proportion of vanadium and other alloying agents may be a way to go.
Accelerating the introduction of ‘graphene̵7; or ‘carbyne’; nanotubes in concrete should also help solve the problem, though there is still very little of the material available for use.
In the short term policy makers might look to add structural steel reinforcement to a number of bridges which are showing fatigue and the potential for structural failure.
Given the expected state of many Italian bridges this could amount to tens of thousands of tonnes of structural steel.

Addition of graphene to boost construction sector

Graphene, the “wonder material” comprising a single-atom thick sheet of carbon atoms processed from high-grade graphite, is being utilised to create a new type of concrete which is significantly stronger, water-resistant and eco-friendly.
Graphene-enhanced concrete, developed by a number of specialist including University of Exeter and Talga Resources Ltd, has reported >140% increase in compressive strength, >75% increase in flexural strength, and a decrease in water permeability of almost 400%. The product developed by the research group in Exeter meets British and European standards for construction.
The enhanced performance of the material is particularly poignant in light of the recent bridge collapse disaster in Genoa, Italy.
Additionally, the inclusion of graphene allows for a 50% reduction in other material requirements, including cement content. Scientists estimate this factor should result in a 446kg/t reduction in emitted CO2.

I am sure many posters can point to errors BUT the fact remains that graphene is now changing the world in all sorts of ways.

axotyl - I don't disagree with any of that but my question wasn't answered, so here is another one, just how do you measure and come up with an average temperature for the earth.

Probably not one for the VRS thread but an interesting topic and not as straight forward as some would have us believe.

It's not just human activity but human activity can be the straw that breaks the camels back. Other factors come into play. Sun spots, changes in orbit, tilt, spin etc.
