I don't own £OPTI but I see the increase/decrease pattern same even at same time. Was studying both VRS & OPTI behaviours from MM angle.

superg this 400% thing is just a bugbear of mine.

If you reduce 100 to 90 that is a 10% reduction.

If you reduce 100 to 10 that is a 90% reduction.

If you reduce 100 to Zero that is a 100% reduction.

If you reduce 100 by 400% you have minus 300.

That was the maths I learned at school back in the good old '60s ( 19' not 18')

Great insight lovat scout. Presumably liquidity of shares rather than the total number of shares (we keep hearing only 149 million shares) is also relevant. In an II cannot make a certain size of investment in terms of £s they would also pass on by ?

SG - I am convinced that VRS is still flying under most fund/II radars and ironically the reason may be technology.

Fund management groups are consolidating as fees are under pressure so they are looking to merge and exploit economies of scale.

With large organisations, one effect is that the initial screening process for potential investment is automated, so the vast majority will put in parameters such as market cap, are they profitable yet, dividend paying etc. so VRS and many other exciting early stage companies could fall foul of one metric and be rejected by the algorithm.

If true, I’m not bothered as it gives me more time to accumulate shares but could well be a reason why IIs are slow to arrive.

It can’t. It’s another misuse of terminology. Permeability is never less than zero.

So far same pattern that followed the Mat Walker news.

Buyers appear and a fund gave the MMs some day but for now it doesn't seem they have been given any more to them.

Just a case of waiting to see how long this goes on for and at what price the buyer is willing to take up loose shares.

All great, unless you are short wondering when the fk china or other big news may drop.

Who knows a big name may come in for a stake.

What is the source of the topic.

If you have hole and plug it stopping all water it reduces the water going through by 100%.

If you had something reducing the water flow from 1 litre per minute down to 900ml then use something else which reduces it to 500ml then the water ingress restriction has improved by 400%.

I don't know the topic but just doing the maths.

How can you have a 'decrease in water permeability of almost 400%?

A 100% reduction means no permeability. Does the other 300% mean it actually expels water?

Cliche but can't be overstated today - you wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend! ;)

Lets see if we have a nice run into the close

Only £2.70 to go :) With a mere circa 148 million shares in issue (as we know at the moment) I just hope that my gut feeling is correct. If what we expect, comes to pass, £4.00 is surely attainable this year - appreciating for most its only a milestone price on their journey. With growing wider market awareness of VRS hopefully reacting to positive RNS' and the associated following 'sentiment' wind will I be disappointed? 129 days to Christmas....will Christmas come early for us? - 2nd to Selfridges of course.....we will see:)
