In its Fifth Assessment Report, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a group of 1,300 independent scientific experts from countries all over the world under the auspices of the United Nations, concluded there's a more than 95 percent probability that human activities over the past 50 years have warmed our planet.

The industrial activities that our modern civilization depends upon have raised atmospheric carbon dioxide levels from 280 parts per million to 400 parts per million in the last 150 years. The panel also concluded there's a better than 95 percent probability that human-produced greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide have caused much of the observed increase in Earth's temperatures over the past 50 years.

Even my own brokers nominee acc(vrs) has 63 investors owning just over 1m shares of which I have most of them, from that I also conclude we are still not overly well known but as each day/week passes the news and reality is spreading, so hold tight I say ...;-)

HL - 10.1 mill shares
Barc - 5.3 mill shares etc etc ...


I am presuming he means that the number of nominee accounts (with however many dozens or hundreds of investors in each), plus the number of investors individually named in the register, comes to 300.

OK, I will bite. In our geological past the earth's atmosphere had considerably more CO2 than it does now yet it didn't lead to runaway global warning, hothouse earth, through the greenhouse effect. Why was that?

Yes. But his ambiguous answer allowed two contradictory interpretations.

I am presuming he means that the number of nominee accounts (with however many dozens or hundreds of investors in each), plus the number of investors individually named in the register, comes to 300.

The other interpretation (extremely unlikely in my view) is that the number of individual investors within all the nominee accounts, plus the named investors, comes to a mere 300.

Words, "300 in total in nominee and named", can sometimes be interpreted in different ways, particularly if sentences are constructed quickly and without precision, something NR occasionally does on Twitter. A quick reality check can usually get to the true intent, 300 shareholders in total doesn't pass any kind of reality check.

Do you mean 300 in named plus 300 in nominee. When you mean nominee, would that cover my shares held with Hargreaves? Or do you just count that as one for all of Hargreaves rather than for each person... it doesn’t seem a high enough number of shareholders??

All the shares held in nominee accounts, say ii for example, will count as one holder even though there maybe actually be thousands of individuals. That is why if there is a company action, say a fundraise, you will be informed by your broker and not by the company who doesn't know who the hell you are unless the broker informs them. The number of 300 shareholders is therefore MEANINGLESS. Please stop talking about it.

But, Andy, that time Zap&Go used hashtag graphene also, so i think that contains graphene but unsure if that is nanene, hence, asked. This time regarding drill, Zap&Go didn't use #graphene and i believe whoever posts these tweets should be sensible enough to post correctly but who knows.
