Each time I see yet another 2D material reported (in this case hematene) I tend to presume that it's already among the array of advanced 2D materials being looked at or developed by Versarien. Or if not, soon will be!

"graphene .....isn't the only slenderized ingredient available. Scientists have created two-dimension sheets of black phosphorus, gallium, molybdenum disulfide ... and chromium triiodide, each with a wider range of properties than its 3D structure.
Hematene may have iron-based siblings, as well. ..There are a number of other iron oxides and derivatives thereof that are candidates for originating new 2D materials..."

At the airport and bought an Economist to read. Interesting one-pager on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Makes the point that it isn't just in China - "Trillions of dollars' worth of roads, railways, ports and power stations are needed in countries across Asia, Africa and Europe."

Hopefully, Neil’s job at defending VRS against these endless clueless critics will end soon when both the long awaited mega China deal news lands and VRS receives several substantive orders from the many companies they are in NDA collaboration agreements with.

Neil knows this news is coming along with ISO accreditation that will totally silence the critics for good. Their silence will continue hopefully when orders then just keep coming and the share price keeps on rising accordingly.

Looking forward to it and in the meantime taking advantage of any weakness in the share price by topping up when funds become available.

GLA and well done Neil & his team.

772, trouble is he's got sucked in to responding to every mug, and there seems to be an endless supply of them. It's becoming embarrassingly repetitive and wasteful.

No, please carry on Neill. They are a great way to keep getting information out there. I wouldn’t know half as much if it wasn’t for Tim helping me stay long and strong.

Really think it's time for Neill to reassess his Twitter activity. Defending the company against numpty after numpty asking the same questions, repetitively is a waste of his time.

Was searching for something in the report which I was sure was there but kept missing it.

Kept missing it because it was the second item highlighted now why would that be?

'Operational highlights

* Eight graphene application collaboration agreements
secured during the year, with a further five entered
into post period, with more in the pipeline

* Asian graphene expansion targeted through
incorporation of intermediate Hong Kong holding
company '

Was that what you were alluding to anley, I think it may be in another guise?
Must be very important to be almost at the top of the list eh?

More from NR on Twitter tonight in reply to another question......"Ath was 140+ and I already knew there was a high probability of great news coming, it has come down a little based on some strange goings on but nothing I am worried at imho"

Always important to pick back through any RNS because sometimes I feel that the Musketeers may get frustrated that we are not picking up on what is out there in black and white.

We have continued to invest in our graphene manufacturing capability to support collaborative application agreements and have also ordered additional equipment that will see our graphene capacity reach a maximum of almost 3 tonnes.

(My translation, we need that equipment to meet demand in the near future which looks promising)

Shareholders will be aware that we take a prudent view on capital commitments and scale-up as and when demand dictates we do so.

(My translation, Chris is a tight git and wouldn't cough up until the evidence of future orders was there)

Our European equipment supplier is aware that market-take up will require either significant quantities of standard equipment or custom designed equipment and we intend to enter into a collaboration with them at the earliest opportunity.

(My translation, 'will require' not may!)

Our focus is now on continuing to win further collaborations and orders, increasing production for those wishing to use and evaluate the benefits of using our products, both in the UK and globally, and in particular with partners in China.

(My translation, we can do 1kg /shift but it's not enough to meet demand)

We entered into a letter of intent earlier in the year with Jinan, the capital of Shangdong Province and have been in discussions since. Interestingly, the announcement of this has resulted in possible links with another 23 cities or companies in China and we are therefore evaluating the best options for international expansion. We are conscious that in doing so we should seek to protect, as far as possible, the IP as well as conclude the best deal for Versarien and its shareholders
