26/7/2018 06:56 | Always happens when a supply is running low , don't know why people get jittery and think it is time to sell, then up it goes and they start to buy as it did at 65p and then bought into the rise, defies logic? | ![]() luckyorange
26/7/2018 06:52 | My biggest worry, as ever, is a takeover at these ludicrous prices. Given the potential alone we should (IMO, obviously) be much much higher (200-300p would be appropriate in my view). I'm sure there are plenty of slide rules being run over VRS right now. Hopefully involvement of government will put off some, but probably not all. It all comes back to one thing - we need to see some money. | club sandwich
26/7/2018 06:47 | That seating arrangement - driver at front with passengers slightly back, has been done before by other makers. | ![]() grabster
26/7/2018 06:45 | grabster - I think you're right. after 14 collabs and all the froth about China NR and VRS now need to put up and show the money. I expect the share price to keep sliding until that happens as shorters exploit the uncertainty. Important to remember though that nobody can make a client place an order. I'm sure NR and the team are doing all they can to work with clients to demonstrate the benefits of graphene. They probably have slightly more control over China in that if they really now have 24 (+ ?) offers/expressions of interest they should be able to parley that into a deal hopefully soon. Surely at least one of those 24 must be prepared to value VRS at what it thinks it's worth, give appropriate IP guarantees and pay appropriate royalties? The question is do they sign partners one at a time or go for a 'big-bang' and try and announce multiple deals at once? Whichever it is I hope something happens soon. The Chinese originally wanted to get going in June or July - well it's nearly the end of July and there's no deal inked yet... | club sandwich
26/7/2018 06:41 | Just looking at the sculpture of the speedtail...is it for bigamists? What a weird idea having the driver's seat in the centre! On the same topic, I see that the BAC Mono claims to be made of graphene. -"The BAC Mono is made from the ultra-light carbon composite material graphene" - Do we know who supplied it? | ![]() woodpeckers
26/7/2018 06:40 | CS - that sounds like a realisation by NR we've reached a stage where no other news is big enough to lift the share price - not even last week's good annual results statement nor the appointment of Kemp and Hodge, nor appointment to key institutions in the USA, nor additional interest from China. | ![]() grabster
26/7/2018 06:32 | "Neil saying next big news has to be an order....good" but he didn't say when ;-) and maybe we'll get some not-so-big news first... | club sandwich
26/7/2018 00:48 | I think the new McLaren Speedtail has Nanene inside. Launch is October 2018. Could be a significant order. | ![]() 1crackupboom

25/7/2018 22:43 | XG sciences, serratia nailed it! Ignoring the facts annoys me ;) serratia - 23 Jul 2018 - 21:49:51 - 22979 of 23358 VRS The world lead in real Graphene (Nanene) - VRS As someone mentioned it I had a brief look at XG Sciences Q1 2018 figures - Cost of sales was greater than sales. ie they sold material at less than the manufacturing cost !! That's before all the admin/R&D etc. They burnt cash at $2.2m in Q1 and had $2.3m cash at the end of Q1. Yes they have 1220 customers but 83% of sales was from 1 customer. The other 1219 customers averaged less than £100 each. I assume they're just samples. 83 % of sales were from 1 product c-500. The designation relates to surface area ie 500 m2/gm. They would like you to believe that's around 5 layers. Single layer is 2630 m2/gm. A fairly recent paper says c-750 is 817 m2/gm. The issue is the lateral dimensions. c-750 gave poor performance in tests as it had very short laterals. It would seem that c-500 would have the same problems. New ISO standards for FLG will require both layers and length. I'd be surprised if they can do it. | ![]() luckyorange

25/7/2018 22:05 | Forest: Q1: Flt Lt (Reserves) - awkward as I was working in Russia some of the time (got VERY awkward in Siberia - long story ;0) Q2: Forest of Dean (not that I recall but would need to check - no idea where it is - duh!) Edit: Forest of Dean - got the message. Answer is no, BUT it is people from around there that protected us, and kept me alive on at least one occasion in Syria - but that's for another day - in a pub somewhere ;0) p.s. I'm assuming your not talking about the Book Festival at Hay on Waye, I have been there a couple of times ;0) 1 Retirement: acted as a reference for one Thames side employee, and a referee for another, and had a 3 hour interview with their 'minder' when - having been recruited, they much later were (for a while) were perceived as a risk (worked out fine). Keep smiling - Mike | ![]() spike_1
