25/7/2018 10:33 | johnveals - no, not really. Just find it a bit annoying that NR drops all kinds of hints of Twitter the when you try and press him he gets all defensive and clams up. He should say everything or nothing - and he can't say everything, so... | club sandwich
25/7/2018 10:31 | a_game - surprised VRS don't just buy them; that would be some defensive moat, to own the company that make the machines that turn (pencil) lead into gold... | club sandwich
25/7/2018 10:29 | I sense some of the natives are getting restless. Take some deep breaths and concentrate on the positives, Rome wasn't built in a day. | ![]() johnveals
25/7/2018 10:28 | "wonder where they'd get all the machines from if all 24 interested parties signed?" > hence what they mentioned in the annual statement - that they're considering entering into a collaboration with the machine manufacturer to assist with scale up. | ![]() a_game
25/7/2018 10:26 | Steel rods do reinforce concrete and iron filings do not but the aspect ratio of nanene is much closer to iron filings than steel rods (rebar if we are being accurate). It is not a very good analogy imo. | ![]() johnveals
25/7/2018 10:22 | On a slightly separate note - wonder where they'd get all the machines from if all 24 interested parties signed? | club sandwich
25/7/2018 10:16 | Neil is doimg a great job but there's a bit of smoke and mirrors on the teams twitter I feel, Chinese meals with no deals done etc, personally find it annoying so am avoiding twitter. It's a means to combat derampers / shorters I feel | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/7/2018 10:12 | sonson - but he can say "24? Lol"...? and my comment was rhetorical - of course he can't reply... | club sandwich
25/7/2018 10:11 | CS - he can't possibly comment on that really, he knows we want tangible progress but all he can say is all in good time | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/7/2018 10:10 | Lots of the twitter stuff doesn't make any sense unless you can see all the context. It can actually be rather annoying. I would just like to see something concrete in the not too distant future. | ![]() pshevlin
25/7/2018 10:08 | Me "Don't want more, want to see what we have so far! ;-)" NR "you need my job, feel free to apply" (bit defensive, I thought) Me "I couldn't possibly do a better job than you're doing. But we *are* going to find out what's going on at some stage, right? You and Matt could spend decades talking to ever-more companies in China. You, the Chinese and s'holders want to see this actually get going..." no response yet... | club sandwich
25/7/2018 10:03 | So Neil hinting at more than 24 now (imo) But he's hinted at plenty without any fruit being bared before, think he.likrs to keep everyone confused :) | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/7/2018 09:55 | A simple way to understand laterals. Steel rods reinforce concrete, iron filings don't. | ![]() serratia
25/7/2018 09:55 | I think they'd probably have to RNS if they'd signed 23 new LoIs (Letters of Intent)... ;-) | club sandwich
25/7/2018 09:50 | UPDATED: sonny - you could be right, but it was a direct answer to the Offering at least 24 opportunities. Wouldn't laughing be LOL not LoI ?? EDIT: Neill now confirmed : laugh out loud - I appologise | ![]() spike_1
25/7/2018 09:47 | I read it as a lower case "L" | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/7/2018 09:46 | "24 ? Lol (laugh out loud)" happy now? | club sandwich
25/7/2018 09:43 | sonny - you could be right, but it was a direct answer to the Offering at least 24 opportunities. Wouldn't laughing be LOL not LoI ?? EDIT: Neill now confirmed : laugh out loud - I appologise | ![]() spike_1
25/7/2018 09:43 | ... my take on it was 24 is now historic think its a lol ( laugh out loud) not a loi (letter of intent )... | ![]() hattie1
25/7/2018 09:43 | Spike that was LOL (laugh out loud), not LoI... | club sandwich
25/7/2018 09:41 | Don't see that spike? I do see Neil laughing at the 24 number, perhaps it's increased since results .. | ![]() sonsonnyjim
25/7/2018 09:36 | Neill (on twitter) has just answered the question raised here earlier today ;0) The 24 Chinese opportunities are LoI's. (most or all - not sure, there is a question mark next to 24 so it may mean there are now even more - who knows)). Best wishes - Mike | ![]() spike_1
25/7/2018 09:33 | - or unless it doesn't biodegrade and aids recyclability instead (or makes recycling more appealing financially). The issues of graphene biodegradation vs recyclability have been very closely looked at and reported - I've spotted various studies in the past 2 years - and they are obviously issues on which all the bigname collaborators will have carried out their own detailed assessments before daring to have gone further - along with assessments of toxicity and other risks. So far, the findings that I've glanced at along the way have not rung alrm bells with me - and I am someone with a keen interest in environment issues, going back many decades. | ![]() grabster |
