Chimp, splendid piece of research, only one snag - that these experiments have already happened. That article is last August. Sorry ;0(

ChimpAndy............you should have drawn our attention to.........

Dr Andrea Ferrari, Science and Technology Officer of the Graphene Flagship, said: “Space is the new frontier for the Graphene Flagship. These initial experiments will test the viability of graphene-enabled devices for space applications.”

Both experiments will launch between 6-16th of November. So it will be a long time before VRS can profit from these plans via Cambridge Graphene........

Believe a company CAN do audit and management activities BUT there are restrictions in place as to how much... I am working for a FTSE company where this came up with a major auditor.... there were restrictions on spend I think in relation to turnover... think about it - if you were PwC would miss out on a 10m opportunity for a 5m audit??? We'd have no one available to audit anyone. They might need some internal Chinese walls but don't discount VRS' auditors having fingers in other pies.JMHOCraigy

I'm convinced this is one of the reasons there is no need for a fund raiseTo turn a high growth challenger into a $1bn unicorn you need patient finance that backs your vision. This week, to celebrate the launch of the £2.5bn @BPatientCap programme, we're looking at five #UKUnicorns that have had @BritishBBank supported investment #patientcapital

With regards to "#onlythestart –"

If it was anyone other than NR posting that it would perturb me.

He would not post it without good cause and I feel that it is a not so subliminal message to long term holders and new investors that all is good looking forward . He has been around long enough to know not to post anything irresponsible.... maybe Timothy will get that one day, I do tend to think that he is a gambling addict looking for the rush but can't understand why he doesn't focus on the so many easier targets out there.... horses for courses!

Birmingham International Railway Station might be suitable rendezvous for Neill to meet Graphenologists from Manchester to share time and thoughts en route to London?

I see on twitter the former high school chess player is chivying neill along. I wonder if that's how his chess teacher taught him ? As neill always says, he is 6 months ahead of where We are. That's quite a few chess moves ! ;) So when neill says it's only the start in his tweet this morning, i have full confidence. And much excitement. Grateful shareholder here. Aimo. Best ellis

I get the direct train to Paddington from Cheltenham several time a month, never via Birmingham but sometimes have to go via Bristol but very occasionally. If all else fails I take the helicopter.

I got the distinct impression PWC consultants were helping them negotiate the deal or maybe doing DD or doing spadework - but as I say, that may be wrong...

Auditing, it's actually against legislation to be involved in management activities of a client whilst performing audit services

I've wondered the very same thing. I did have an exchange with NR about it a while back but I'm afraid I can't remember the outcome. Some fixed-fee / flat-rate deal or something? That may be wrong. Maybe gov is kicking in some expenses to help out?

If PWC have been on the case full time for 7 months I dread to think what the bill is going to be.

If NR is in London again can we hope that a China conclusion is drawing near? I know it's a huge deal and all (or at least I hope it is!) but it's been seven months now, and PWC are allegedly on the case full-time, so I'd hope we'd be getting close by now...?

DaveMac3.............maybe you are right over the age gap = eminent but he always has Prof Ferrari to help him.

I think you will find that he knows more than a "bit" about graphene and he taught me some basics about the subject when I last met some months ago.

o/t: Cheltenham to Paddington is theoretically direct and frequent except that whoever puts the trains on God's wonderful railway these days can't keep them running. Several trains were cancelled yesterday because they failed to plan for their staff bunking off for the footie. My daughter's weekend disrupted as a consequence.
