15/7/2018 18:32 | Makes no difference with China anley, they are producing their own standards as they were too late to the table so I can't see that your take up will make sense to them? | ![]() luckyorange
15/7/2018 18:17 | Looks like an exciting week ahead. I hope some of the collaborations give NR the green light to update us in the results Club - 100 pounds a share will look like ramping to newcomers, just a thought | ![]() sonsonnyjim
15/7/2018 18:17 | Back to the ISO............if I were VRS working with the DTI I would not sign the China deal until the ISO issues have been agreed and published. If there is no news this Thursday then I will take this matter up with both the broker and the company. Other posters may have their own ideas............... | ![]() anley
15/7/2018 18:12 | 1teepee - end of last year I was calling £100 a share in 5-10 years. It's not looking quite so unlikely now ;-) All IMHO, obviously - and that's not as high as I think it will go, my own view is this is another Apple and the sky's the limit... | club sandwich
15/7/2018 18:11 | Hazl - you haven't missed he boat, it hasn't left yet! In fact they haven't even finished loading the luggage yet, let alone drawing up the gangplank... | club sandwich
15/7/2018 17:25 | hazl you have not missed the boat. Its just in port taking on supplies before setting off on a world cruise. Good luck with your investments. | ![]() 20pc
15/7/2018 16:57 | I think this has the potential to be a 100 bagger from now | ![]() 1teepee
15/7/2018 16:51 | THANKS Shavian....well certainly you have done well....we'll see. | ![]() hazl
15/7/2018 16:47 | I don’t think you have missed the boat Hazl, this story is on just beginning. Many of us are lucky enough to be 10- and 12-bagging on our initial holdings, but it seems most have been adding all the way up the hill. I even snitched another 2000 myself last week to bring it up to a nice round number. | ![]() shavian
15/7/2018 16:32 | hi runthejoules.....I looked on here as the CEO seems to follow people on twitter and I thought I would have a look. I guess I felt I probably missed the boat, but good luck to all here. Yes,still got some PRSM but not as many as I had. | ![]() hazl
15/7/2018 16:23 | Batteries In the WMG few layer graphene breakthrough they mention doubling the life of Lithium batteries. They also mention working with Cambridge Uni which is also where VRS are involved. On the Cambridge investor day we viewed the battery room. I did ask re the batteries and they were silicon graphene. I note silicon is a major feature in the few layer graphene report. I also note the battery company Varta are involved as below. The WMG research team have already begun further work on this technological advance which will include further study and research as part of the graphene spearhead two year project led by Varta Micro-innovations, WMG at the University of Warwick is a partner along with Cambridge University. | ![]() superg1
15/7/2018 16:02 | I find it interesting that NR retweeted this:"If the company's Annual Results on Thursday are good enough to boost the share price, the author might proudly revisit Versarien, to boast his prowess as a tipster. If so, I hope the ceo is going to offer his phone number to discuss further detail". | ![]() melf
15/7/2018 14:58 | Here's a list of Chinese Battery manufacturers and suppliers. Huge business in China. www.made-in-china.co | ![]() sandbag
15/7/2018 14:46 | Some key points about batteries that some may have missed. Recently WMG found the answer to issues using graphene in batteries which was few layer. RNS update re working with WMG Significant advances have been made through incorporating the Company's high quality graphene into these devices and the Company looks forward to commercial products becoming available in due course. Chinese Graphene Order In addition to these relationships, the Company is pleased to report that it has received its first small initial order for Nanene graphene nano platelets from a Chinese automotive battery manufacturer for their technical evaluation. So the Chinese company is obviously impressed with what WMG/VRS have achieved and are going to run their own tests. | ![]() superg1
15/7/2018 14:38 | Woody, I'm sure all will become clear - and hopefully we won't have to wait *too* long ;-) | club sandwich
15/7/2018 14:31 | Surely any company seeing 50% improvements on their products will realise that they will have to move fast or be left behind...I appreciate that there are general rules in companies when introducing new products but I would have thought that they make exceptions to the rules and this disruptive new technology must surely call for that. From what Neill has said, it generally could be introduced quite easily in to the production lines already in place. | ![]() woodpeckers
15/7/2018 14:22 | I think it has been mentioned on here that any products from VRS are certified prior to sale. Any knowledgeable buyer therefore would know exactly what they are buying, with or without an ISO spelling it out. China and Manchester have very close technical ties. I don't believe that the Chinese would wait for the ISO but other collaborations with entities without the technical knowledge would. | ![]() sandbag
15/7/2018 13:38 | Hi Hazl, welcome to £vrs. I think if you read heavily into this you might find it fits in your portfolio. Will have a look at £vre but looks like it would need a pretty good moat, the number of vr companies out there. Are you still in £prsm? | ![]() runthejoules
15/7/2018 13:11 | If they are testing and see significant improvements then the ISO will be a secondary thought to them. They will want first mover status and the ISO will follow. If every company waited around for someone to complete their certification process then progress would be stifled at every turn. It will come but big companies who see projected multi million pound/dollar returns won't sit back for six months waiting on a certificate they will run with their own testing results. | ![]() 1retirement
15/7/2018 12:51 | Don’t confuse ISO management standards with ISO materials standards. Having said that ISO standards for graphene would be a major milestone and place VRS ahead of the vast majority of its “competitors Also recognise that different standards or qualities of graphene have their own applications and value. It is a complicated landscape. | ![]() johnveals
15/7/2018 12:47 | guru - dunno, your guess is as good as ours. 'Soon' and 'imminent', if that's any help ;-) | club sandwich
15/7/2018 11:59 | On the Daily Mail share punt article I thought it was quite interesting that it was on the same page as charging for electric cars...electric cars = batteries so may add a bit of impetus to the interest in the company's product. | ![]() tmoon
15/7/2018 11:56 | Well make on the nanene and recieve royalties on sales | ![]() 1teepee
15/7/2018 11:40 | On the point about car batteries: does anyone have a clue (I don't) how much graphene might be used per battery? If, for example, 1g of graphene were used per battery, it would take 1m batteries to require a tonne? Anyone seen any research or have any more-educated guesses on this? | club sandwich |
