Mid-teens % of net sales in the US...currently 15 % of $0.

You can speculate all you like about what market fraction VEC/Hikma will take.

You might want to look at GSK results for 2020.

Without going back over previous posts, was Advair worth about £15m a year to VEC

Its Advair which is the current problem and a major disappointment.

Hikma haven't sold any in the states and are still prevented from doing so.

Hopefully this situation rights itself and soon, because it has cost and is costing millions in revenue to VEC.

Of course if the packaging issue resolves itself it will drive the share price here.

The Vectura King , where is your Ride up ?
Vec from 133 drifted down into bear market !
Nothing can stop sellers, short sellers and market makers to depress share price cause they did and do again nice profit.
There is no petition to Supreme Court and management didn’t announce it ! Its a shame !
Management killed momentum !

Sold out in the 20's as clear from the recent update that there was no ST catalyst and seemed likely the share price would drift.
Everyone has discounted the cash.
Ex-cash it trades on approx 15 times forward earnings for 2021 (4.75 x 15 + cash at 40p per share when all funds from GSK received inc ongoing royalties).
The CDMO project is taking sometime to get off the ground. Last update said revenues of £3 million when market was expecting £5 million.
Naturally it's great to have so much cash but where is the catalyst from the rest of the business to get the share price moving upwards.
I'm not trying to talk it down but genuinely asking. (I held 150,000 shares)

Popper/Base, SKP so nearly got it right, imagine if they could have managed to keep Exparel! Anyway we are where we are, and the one big hope now is the triple therapy generic, but the experience with the Advair generic is a bit dissappointing, makes you wonder just how long it would take to get to market.

With the imminent publication of Vectura's results, which are expected to include an embarrassingly large cash pile, several posters have spoken of their disappointment at the lack of ambition by the board to do something positive with this money. The other day, I mentioned the fact that I had come by my original Skyepharma investment by way of their reverse takeover of Black and Edgington and I came across this old article that some long term holders might find interesting or even memorable. Ian Gowrie Smith didn't do everything right and could ultimately be accused of over-committing the company, but the early years were very interesting and we could certainly do with a bit of his ambition again now,

There is a lot optimism here, with an investors head on that may not be wise.
Been invested here since way back, early SKP, various levels of exposure from a few thousand to tens of thousands. The last few months I’ve been reducing as I believe the uptrend of the last couple of years has reversed. That is the underlying business, stripping out the 20-25p of GSK monies. For the trend to continue we should have seen support above 120p, investors are thin on the ground and a good part of that is a wary ness in the new managements ability to turn the corporate talk into growing revenues.
I’m still holding a fair few of these but i will take some convincing that this is the best place to invest just now.

It doesn't matter how good the numbers are if no one is buying then it's going to go down. This is my largest holding.

GBCol, you're just a newcomer ;-) I have held these since the 1990's when they were a tent and marquee company called Black and Edgington and were subject to a reverse takeover by Skyepharma. I have a lot more shares now than that initial investment in a tent company and, like you, think it might soon be time to step off the ride.

Sorry boadicea, that’s no time at all. Just checked and I’ve been holding these (well initially SKP) since 2002. Must be nearly time to get off this ride, just need one good surge. Nothing else in my portfolio comes close to that sort of timescale.

Ah, now that is greater patience than I had in mind. The only stocks I still hold on that length of time are on pieces of paper left over from 2000. Alrtech, now Rua, and batm. Seems too complex to be rid of them.

Brucie - Patience?
I've been here since August 2007!... but not with my curent quantity.
Most of the profit comes from those bought in 2008 and 2010 - some below 40p.
I have had more profitable (and some less profitable) investments.

Boa, you're right to see the lag in share price compared to life other sciences, and frustrating to see so much cash waiting for productive home, but either way, the value will out. You can see at least that there's not much 'hot' money on these boards! Which means that if you have the patience, you may be well served to wait. What is reasonable on the basis of the chart? It took years to get from 70p to 1.10, a rise of 57%. I would say at this rate 1.60 within the year is entirely reasonable, which would be a rise of 45%. Its previous high in 2015/16 went all the way to 1.90, or +72% from here.

I would imagine it is also likely to be quite resilient in a market downturn, having all that cash. The March crash last year took it from 90 to 60, moderate by many standards, and of course it came back very quickly.

Mark my words, patience will have its reward!
