Must be Monday for the news that GSK have finally coughed up the $164m, come on Mr Downie this is just the news shareholders want to hear....nothing is ever completely certain until its in the bank....last chance on Monday for GSK to announce their approach for VEC too :)

The speculation then starts about what to do with the cash pile?

Why? There isn't a lot to say that hasn't already been said. Trading statement means VEC enters closed period. We have seen several times that this has been used to push price down. Company can't comment as already said everything in trading statement. Just await the result date.

As I have said before, most of Vec's revenue comes from products and contracts that have been in place for years. This management team has done very little so far regarding new revenue. CDMO may be the way to go but they need some significant contracts to justify their change of direction, not the piffling little contracts they have announced so far. Unfortunately, I have been holding these shares, SKP originally, for over 15 years so I am reluctant to sell them when there is an outside chance that they may come good. With hindsight, a marvellously exact science, I should have sold for around 135 when Advair was first rejected or for 160+ when SKP was taken over.

Markets are taking a fright....and some would say rightly so with UK GDP roughly 10pc down on 2019.

The world financial markets are being driven on by a crazy amount of bale out funny money.

So stock picking is about to get very important.

VEC has a cash pot of £200 - £250m no debt and steady reoccurring income with upside (Advair).

Place to be and im sure others fancy that cash. GSK news tomorrow or Monday.

Hope you doing well and just don’t have anymore interest in Vectura at all. Understandable .

Volvo , you are not anymore sure that Vectura is a buy now !

Imo management is very unambitious and small thinking dragging company down !

UT as usual shaves another 1p off at the close. I really hope the board is not guilty of hiding bids/approaches for M&A - as SAGA was last year. I find it very hard to believe Vectura has not been approached. Sosei, GSK, Hikma all potential suitors.

I never post any forecast always prefer for people to DYOR .We all come from a different prospective long
term short term do i need the cash and so on.
